  5. Goodmorning Traders ... Are we seeing real sale side activity yet...NO not yet... my 3/4/21 Premarket outlook Technical Analysis (04/03/2021 - Reddit Stock Market)
Good morning Traders, Are we seeing real sale side activity yet...NO not yet. I will go thru the spy chart in the video below but looking at things this morning here is how to interpret things... https://youtu.be/ELXNAFBNZKk So we had a little down move yesterday ... That was nothing. You can chock yesterdays Move up to Just Rotation. Here are the 3 different outcomes and Probablities to plan for. Do we take a breather from this small down move today, tomorrow or much later. The 3 outcomes are: 1) We try to fight back up at the open to somewhere between 381-385 consolidate and take another dive down toward 375 2) We bounce to between 381-385 , bulls kick in and we keep going higher toward 390. 3) consolidate here for awhile between 381 and 385. Probabilty for me are as follow:.................................................................................................................... We try to fight back up at the open to somewhere between 381-385 consolidate and take another dive in down toward 375 60% 2)We bounce to between 381-385 , bulls kick in and we keep going higher toward 390. 40% chance of happening 3) consolidate here for awhile between 381 and 385. Now that you know this things to watch while #3 goes on.............................................................. How much further can can xlf and qqq carry the market? The bonds are moving lower will their be follow thru... too high to fast they begin to hurt financials go back to selling off too fast they pull tech down Internals opening maxed out. if they open near the highs were going down. we open near the lows we jog in place and consolidate before bouncing up. submitted by /u/jmj_daytrader [link] [comments]

I came across this ETF that is essentially a REIT specializing in real estate for doctors/medical facilities. Anyone has any feedback on it? Anyone has been holding it? Any other recommendations re:REIT ETFs are highly appreciated. I have no real estate exposure whatsoever (aside from my equity). Thank you! submitted by /u/Dowdell2008 [link] [comments]

Hindsight sight is 20/20 with now the pandemic & then housing crisis of 2008 , luckily I placed my bet on stocks then real estate property. Seems like there is more risk in real estate then before, now with climate change increasing. I'm a lazy investor to deal with real estate tenants, repairs, maintenance, taxes, time, and having cash flow drained out. I do believe in real estate investment as primary housing, not as investment property. I could be wrong, only advantage for real estate is leverage? 12. Dumping a thought onto Reddit real quick (08/05/2021 - Reddit Stock Market)
Real short one but an idea that I thought can work. Interest rates are low right? That means investors in all markets expect lower yields and therefore inflate prices. Now what? We sit there and we wait? Yes probably, but, what if we wanted to pull a heavy move on the market. I am an investor, speculation isn't really my thing, but the idea is in my head so I'm going to talk about it. If we concluded, by studying and forecasting earnings growth, that the US stock market was overvalued, we could use that potential to hedge against the correction that is yet to perform. So we buy the index at high prices, sell calls (the option for people to buy the underlying asset at a stated price (strike price)) on the index we just bought, use those proceeds to buy puts and when the market corrects itself we have a leveraged return because of how options are priced. Good game, just an idea, not a speculator, but thought about it anyways :). And hey, I say it for the third time, it is just an IDEA, not advice, so no call me bad man for losing moneys. 14. Tax Hike on 1031 Exchange = Good News for Stocks (28/04/2021 - Reddit Stock Market)
Hello stock family, the rest of this week should be volatile as we head into Powell and Biden speaking today. One of my concerns has been if Biden cuts the tax breaks on capital gains for millionaires, they will shift thier money to Real Estate leaving a bearish market trail in its wake. However, Bloomberg has reported that Biden is also expected to announce a tax hike on capital gains for the 1031 exchange on real estate. This would negate some fears that the 1% percent would primarily move their money to real estate. This makes me a little more bullish on stocks. Interesting read regardless. See link below. *Let's not get political, we can all agree everyone just wants to make money at the end of the day. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-04-28/1031-exchange-biden-pushes-to-end-real-estate-investment-tax-break submitted by /u/AnonymousHippopotmus [link] [comments]

  18. $PLTR Volatility Forecast and Price Range - Wed, 24 Feb (23/02/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
Hey guys, for my Bachelor Thesis I am working with GARCH-Models, that is a tool for Time Series Analysis of a given Dataset to predict future Volatility. Beforehand, one problem with PLTR is that I don't have enough data because the stock is pretty new, so when I take the adjusted daily closing prices I only have 100 time steps, a better forecast would use around 1000-2000 data points. Nevertheless, we assume that the returns of our time series follow a normal distribution with zero mean and a finite variance. When finally fitting our given data set to a GARCH(1,1) model we get an Expected Volatility for tomorrow's closing price of 7.47%. That means our closing price tomorrow has a high likelihood to be in the range of 24.75 USD to 28.75 USD (about 68% chance), with higher probability of the price being centered around the middle and less probability the further we move away. That means if the price drops much below that range, there is a high chance of going back up, and when the price goes really high, there is a high chance of going back down again and land in those ranges given above for tomorrow's close. When also fitting an AR(1) or ARMA(1,1) model to the data set, we get a positive forecast for tomorrow, but this one might be inaccurate because the data set is so small and with the given data set it looks too linear and will most likely always give a positive forecast. So, there are certain IF's in my assumptions and lack of data, but nevertheless I just wanted to throw this in and write it down, maybe it helps someone. submitted by /u/Billy-Klein [link] [comments]

i am new to the stock market i have made money on the covid recovery but i want to move to long term dividend investing. real estate stocks have seem interesting. i have invested a little money in redwood trust (RWT) MFA Financial (MFA) Two Harbors investing (TWO) And Investment Mortgage Capital (IVR) These real estate stocks are cheap and seem to pay good dividends compared to the cost per stock. there seem to be so many options like these. Orchid island Capital (orc) Cherry hill mortgage investment (CHMI) Black Knight (BKI) ect. a lot of these companies seem to have stable histories but are fairly young companies. are these empirical and will all go bankrupt in the next housing crash? or are they valid long term investments? RWT is the only one that shows an analysist rating and it is rated a buy but it is older than most and has some sizable crashes in its history. submitted by /u/skugaku [link] [comments]

  25. Taking a look at $REAL today (19/05/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
$REAL: The online marketplace for used luxury goods late Monday posted financial results for the first quarter that are not being well received by the Street. The RealReal (ticker: REAL) reported revenue for the quarter of $98.8 million , up 27% from a year earlier and ahead of the Street consensus forecast of $95.9 million . Gross merchandise volume was $327 million , also up 27%. On a non-GAAP basis, the company lost 49 cents a share, in line with the Street consensus. For the second quarter, the company sees GMV about flat sequentially in the $320 million to $330 million range, but up 75% to 80% from a year earlier -- an easy comparison given the deep decline in the business during the pandemic last spring. The company did not provide more detailed guidance on the quarter or any outlook for the full year. Love me a good gap-down recovery play. REAL is trading well under it's previous high after lackluster earnings early last week. Massive volume shelf supporting price between $13 and $15.50. I know I’m just crying into the void along with every other novice retail trader but goddamn I just need to vent. Played around with investing in 2020 and made big returns. I had no real idea how fragile my entire approach was until these past three weeks. Moved huge portions of my portfolio from AMZN to ARKK early January. Took out margin equal to 50+% of my NLV to buy the “dip” a few days into this cycle and in hindsight I effectively doubled down on those positions at nearly their ATH. Everybody says it’s a long game, hold it and forget it. And god I’m trying. But now I have to hold margin for all that time? That seems like fixing a terrible move with another terrible move. And ARKK isn’t just tech, it’s one of the riskiest tech ETFs out there. Why did I do that? God I feel stupid. This is too much for someone with existing mental health problems. I have an appointment with a financial advisor later today but it’s going to take weeks/months to emotionally recover and a year/years to financially recover, best case scenario. I hate this. submitted by /u/BeholdTheMustache [link] [comments]

  42. Flow of money (16/05/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
Let’s try this again. First submission was blocked. I’m wondering what everyone here thinks about the possible flow of money from the stock market into other places, like real estate and virtual currencies. Money goes where the return is and those other two asset classes are on fire again. Will the money move? submitted by /u/themanclark [link] [comments]

  45. What do the voices in your head tell you right before you click the "execute" button and how do you respond? (23/04/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
We can have all the reasons in the world to execute an order but when it comes down to it we often doubt ourselves. That doubt becomes a voice in our head that makes us second guess the move. What does yours tend to say and how often do you listen to it? When the voice in my head starts talking it is usually "everyone else I know" asking me how I could be so foolish to think about making such a ridiculous move. I usually respond by holding off for 24 hours to rethink my move while the stock gains 5 percent and I spend the next month trying to time an entry point. submitted by /u/GMEgotmehere [link] [comments]
