We’re all here to make money Hi all, I hope everyone is well today but i have a question for you all. As im starting out with such little money in it i was wondering whether It would be best for me to sell at a peak of a spike and rebuy in with that whole amount again on the downfall to the bottom to get more shares. I only put in what i can afford. But want to making more money! 1 I’d have more shares BUT at a higher average. Would the return be greater (obviously due to the extra shares it would) but the return would be smaller due to the sell I done? I hope this makes sense, Im dyslexic for something make sense to me might not make sense to you ???? if it did, then great. Thanks in advance submitted by /u/B2214E1918 [link] [comments]

I was wrong. This is my trade right before the close: https://imgur.com/opXuzTl Net profit is just little shy of $2100 USD considering contract fees... As, usual, for those who called me fake. I did a trade, specifically for this reason... and YES! I posted it right before in my Telegram just to prove a point. Cash for RTX 3090 is just an excuse haha. 16. "Buy the rumor, Sell the news" (08/02/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
How much truth is there to this statement? When I hear this statement I often ask "What rumor? What news?" I think it might be especially important around earnings but I never know whether it will drop or bump on earnings as it seems recently everyone is expecting major earnings blowouts and still selling. (AAPL dip after earnings beat, for example) Right now I'm holding positions in CRSR and DIS and they are getting big bumps going into earnings. CRSR has gone up over 20% in the last week and earnings comes out tomorrow. Everyone is expecting it to beat expectations so when it does, will the stock dip from profit-takers no matter what? Am I better to sell today and buy a dip tomorrow? Same but for DIS. They are at ATH right now and half their revenue streams are shut down or severely limited. Who knows what earnings will say next week, perhaps this is a good exit and just wait for the after earnings dip? submitted by /u/dreamliner330 [link] [comments]

  17. For GME, AMC, BB - You might ask tomorrow, "Why are my PUTS increasing in value too" (25/02/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
There are many new traders who are not aware of this so I thought I'd make a quick post about it. Many of the PUT holders for $GME and $AMC are going to realize that their puts have also increased in value. They'll be like wtf? This happens because one of the greeks is called Vega which controls options prices based on implied volatility changes. When IV increases significantly, prices for both calls and puts also increase by a large amount because an increase in vega positively correlates with an increase in prices irrespective of whether it's a call or put. Another tip. If you really like the $GME company, you can sell far out of the money puts tomorrow (cash secured puts) for extremely high premiums. That gives you an extremely low risk and high reward. I might sell Jan 21 $20 puts. 21. $BB Gamma squeeze tomorrow?? (25/02/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
Looking at the charts, think we may see a gamma squeeze in BB tomorrow. Right now as I type this, the after hours price of BB is $12.40/share. That price places quite a few call options in the money. Take a look at the open interest for calls expiring this Friday (i.e., Feb. 26) at strike prices of $11.00, $11.50, and $12.00. You are looking at 18,722 contracts open as of the close of trading today (i.e., Feb. 24). Given the sell-off in the NASDAQ this week, many hedge funds / others thought BB was going to stay under $11. (Look at the spike in open interest at $11). I bet a bunch of the options at $11 and above were written naked. If BB can close above $13 tomorrow, a boat load of call options will be in the money. Friday could bring a gamma squeeze where BB really takes off. submitted by /u/growthinvestor123 [link] [comments]

  43. Cannabis industry (TLRY and APHA) (08/03/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
The market is going crazy with money shifting in multiple locations. I can’t say where things actually are going, because one can say bonds, one can say travel, one can say oil, but to be honest, no one knows except the ones who control the media. In the Cannabis industry, there is so much progress from legalization in the states, to Mexico, to international regulations relaxing. That being said, this “market correction” has no business affecting the cannabis market. The cannabis market is one in itself, and the trend for this industry should be completely Broken from nasdaq, s&p and Dow. So tomorrow, even though we see red for futures, I hope the trend doesn’t follow like it has been for the last couple weeks. Unfortunately, it’s probably not going to decouple like it should, but I’m hoping the media can start supporting that narrative. Long term, very bullish. In the next two weeks, I’m sure. I think Tilray and Aphria will have a bullish week this week. Thoughts for tomorrow and this week? submitted by /u/lilaznjocky [link] [comments]

  44. Don't get greedy if your messing with pumps (11/02/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
So I enjoy messing around in the pumps and I have always given this as advice. Well yesterday I didn't follow my own advice. I had bought some weed stocks and in a single day I went up something like 127% my thought process was that I'm sure it won't stop tomorrow, I was assuming it was going to plummet but I assumed too far ahead. PSA if you are gaining anywhere near 127% on a pump just sell, its really not worth the chance that you might earn a bit more. I still was able to sell at a 32% increase but man I fell for my own lessons, should have sold immediately when I saw 127% but I got greedy. Academy sports $ASO is nearly 40% float shorted. I reviewed all the financials and something is not adding up. They have positive revenue and net income and both have increased the last two quarters year over year. Their net profit margin is up as well as their operating income. Looks very undervalued in my opinion, and yet it is being shorted like crazy, any ideas why? They sell guns, ammo and outdoor equipment, all stuff that has seen a boom the past year due to the tense political atmosphere and pandemic. I picked up some shares this morning and hoping for some good earning call results tomorrow. This is not financial advice, just my opinion. submitted by /u/DoU92 [link] [comments]

  49. Take Emotion Out of Trading (08/06/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
Across the many invest/stock subs there is a lot of meme stock posting going around. I am not against this by itself, as there is money to be made, but be smart, especially those who are new to this. We have all been there, bought a stock at $10 it goes up to $20 and you're like, it will never fall, then it goes to $15 and you say, when it is back to $20, then I'll sell. You end up selling at $7 for a loss. When stocks have these crazy runs, just 'stop-loss limit sell orders. For example, I'm currently in $CLOV, bought in at $11.65. It's currently trading at $16.10 at the time of post. I have a 'stop-loss limit' order at $15. Meaning, if the stock drops to that level, it sells automatically. Of course, it could drop to that level, I sell, and then it rockets to $25, but ignore those. This will guarantee I can ONLY make a profit. I HIGHLY recommend you use these automatic sell triggers to prevent yourself from believing STONKS can ONLY go up. Guarantee you make a profit and while you may be sad when you sell a little early, you will love it when you don't take a loss which I guarantee most of these meme stocks will turn out to be in the long run. tl:dr Use stop-loss limit orders to not get screwed over when the bubble burst. Enjoy the ride and I hope you all become super-rich one day (if you're not there already)! submitted by /u/SpeedoManXXL [link] [comments]
