  39. Tesla Deliveries Fact or Fiction (09/06/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
I am just going to post some facts to start. First fact is Total deliveries each quarter Q2 2020 Deliveries 90,891 Q3 2020 Deliveries 139,593 Q4 2020 Deliveries 180,570 Q1 2021 Deliveries 184,800 Of those total deliveries Q2 29,690 out of China Q3 34,154 out of China Q4 64,551 out of China Q1 78,780 out of China During Q1 2021 there was no model S or X production. There were about 2,000 deliveries from their remaining inventory from the prior quarter. So we can extrapolate from this that 106,020 cars were delivered from the US in Q1 2021 with no S and X production. Here is speculation now but I believe it is safe to say they will atleast match this delivery number from Q1 out of the US. I don't think there would be much argument as now they have model S production and deliveries to account for in Q2 and would likely have had to adjust less for an already on going problem with part shortages affecting the auto industry since its not a new issue anymore. Let's get back to the facts. They have delivered 59,313 cars out of China through the first 2 months of Q2. They delivered 43,302 through the first 2 months of Q1 out of China. They have already delivered 16,011 more cars out of China just in the first 2 months. Back to an assumption but if we assume equal deliveries out of the US and they deliver the exact same amount out of China the final month pf the quarter then their delivery numbers for Q2 would be 200,911. I personally believe this number to still be low. I expect them to deliver more cars in this final month of the quarter out of China than they did last quarter increasing the gap out of China from last quarter and I also expect them to deliver more cars out of the US than last quarter with less issues arising. Some more facts which are just food for thought. Just as recent as 2020 the electric car market in China was 5% of auto there and 2% in the US. That means that with the market being that small Tesla has been able to sell this many cars. When more of the market actually converts to electric which it will Tesla will experience exponential growth with the segment. submitted by /u/PricedIn18 [link] [comments]
