Indians earned only $241 million from Bitcoin in 2020 while Americans made over $4B, Chinese more than $1B

Financial Express

10/06/2021 - 18:32

"With more than a billion citizens, India is the world’s second most populous country and has the fifth largest economy with a GDP of $2.9 trillion. However, the country ranks a surprisingly low 18th in Bitcoin investment gains at $241 million. This may be a result of the Indian government’s historical unfriendliness to cryptocurrency," said Chainalysis.

  5. Don't buy a Tesla with bitcoin (and then demand a refund) (28/03/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
Many fans are very excited that you can now buy a Tesla with bitcoin. But actually it's not an actual purchase with bitcoin, the price of the car is still quoted in dollars, so the bitcoin price for the car fluctuates. Tesla's T&Cs state "you do not have the right to choose the method of refund". So if you buy a car in bitcoin, in case of a refund, Tesla reserves the right to decide whether you get the amount back in dollars or bitcoin. Here's an example: Buying the car for 60k USD at a bitcoin rate of 60k USD per bitcoin. Now the customer wants a refund: bitcoin rate has dropped to 50k - > Tesla refunds exactly 1 bitcoin, so has "earned" 10k USD with it. bitcoin rate has risen to 70k -> Tesla refunds 60k USD, thus has also "earned" 10k USD Tesla has gained an option by offering this payment method. So buying with bitcoins is very risky unless you are 100% sure you want to keep the car. With every price movement after the purchase you lose money in case of a refund, 100 percent profit for Tesla. Technoking is a maketing genius and the master of the coin apparently has a clue about options. But it is not very reputable. https://twitter.com/nntaleb/status/1375070795987361795?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1375070795987361795%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fteslamag.de%2Fnews%2Ftesla-bitcoin-bezahlen-risiko-experte-taleb-schlechte-konditionen-bei-rueckgabe-35309 submitted by /u/GordonGekkoVienna [link] [comments]

  12. Chinese New Year and affect on the market (26/02/2021 - Reddit Stock Market)
Billions of various currencies are withdrawn by the Chinese to gift and spend during the Chinese New Year. When you see your holdings drop in value keep in mind many of stocks you own are heavily invested in by the Chinese citizen. To get money for the Chinese New Year, which ends today. they sell a large percentage of their portfolio for taking trips, gifts, and if they own a company to pay a standard one month bonus to their employees. The Chinese New Year shuts down factories, causes market changes, impacts the price of Cryptocurrency, delays the ability for companies throughout the world to deliver product due to needed Chinese made components to finish products made everywhere else in the world. My old company used a Chinese company, FOXCON, to manufacture computer related products. Even though we tried to order additional product to prepare for the Chinese New Year shutdown not once were we able to compensate for that shutdown. We were told flat out "Don't even call to ask for additional product" and I am pretty sure if you have a printer it was sold by my old company. My point is if you have cash consider buying stock or Crypto today because I am pretty sure next week we will see a nice bounce back especially on Monday morning. submitted by /u/Sea-de-Bleu [link] [comments]

Original Reddit DD https://www.reddit.com/user/MildestKicks/comments/m1bjn0/why_ebon_is_a_great_investment/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf This is not Financial advice Why $EBON is a great investment. Ask yourself this one question, if you went up to someone and asked them about Bitcoin they would instantly know about Bitcoin but ask them how Bitcoin is made? Positive post people who aren’t into stocks nor know Bitcoin know that Bitcoin is mined with computer with complex rewarded equations. I feel like the market for mining has been going on forever but the public eye hasn’t really seen it unless you understand Bitcoin and know about it. Bitcoin mining is very profitable with profit being able to be seen only 5 month into the investment for example the bitminer s19 cost about 6K in about 5-6 month you’ll see your profit back and for the rest of your life as the machine is working you’ll be getting Bitcoin profit daily. Please read that word “ daily “ as this is passive income every day of your life which I don’t see any other stock doing that. Most Bitcoin miners are soldout and resold for heavy pricing to miners needing them, this is good for sales and demand for miners so the company is on track for profit. Do a quick google search on Bitcoin mining rentals and most are soldout. What is $EBON Chinese company that makes Bitcoin mining machines and is expanding into actually mining it for themselves. Due to the market drop $EBON is down almost 50% and with the upcoming Bitcoin news of 57K break-hold, I predict that $EBON and other blockchain or BTC related stocks will boom. This is a easy flip for x3 if you’re willing to wait, this will be paying daily with gains as long as Bitcoin market is good, which is usually the case Lowest - around $5 High - $12 As of this post $6 $EBON Video https://youtu.be/zZe-j8x-DQI submitted by /u/MildestKicks [link] [comments]

The other interesting part is that it would have been an earnings miss without the trading. Did one make the other happen? Considering the recent news about not allowing Bitcoin anymore, it's certainly a move worth mentioning. 49. Anyone avoid Chinese stocks for moral reasons? (26/03/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
I just sold my Chinese stocks today after hearing an ex prisoner from the Uighur Muslim camp talk of rape and torture committed by the Chinese government. It made me think the international community should do everything possible to discourage such action with sanctions and not participating in business with China, and then I realized “wait, I’m helping China by investing in their companies”. When I invested in them I had just heard China was booming so Alibaba and Tencent are a no brainer. Now I’m thinking fuck China and their authoritarian ways. Anyone else consider this, or do investors mostly just chase the money? submitted by /u/knowledgelover94 [link] [comments]
