  22. Lucid Motors set to begin production later this year ???? (09/06/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
Lucid Motors has production of electric vehicles starting this year. They're lower marketcap stock due to production not started yet but I believe this is all going to change within the next year. If you go on their website they have the Lucid Air which is a luxury car that's set to release later in the year. The price may seem high but these cars are top of the line. With a smaller market cap I believe we could see exponential gains from this one. I know we've all seen Tesla climb over the last decade but I hope you take into account this extremely undervalued company. Trading volume on Robinhood hit 23M The 52 week hight is $64.86 Currently trading at around $27 and only a lower market cap I'd say it's definitely a good time to get in. Hopefully you consider looking into Lucid Motors after reading this post but it's totally up to you and I'm not a financial advisor but I'm just sharing this so that others see the potential they have. Let me know down in the comments your thoughts on the company and I'll read into them! submitted by /u/CompletePepper744 [link] [comments]

It was also unclear how much volume or revenue Tesla would lose due to the production halt. The Fremont plant has an annual production capacity of 500,000 Model 3s and Model Ys combined. Several automakers, including General Motors Co, Volkswagen AG, and Ford Motor Co, are hit by the shortage of chips, forcing them to scale down production. Look like the chips shortage issue are hitting all auto makers. Tesla might lost some revenue but that won't be a major impact. 45. Lordstown motors beta trucks come off assembly line (01/04/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
Was happy to see news this morning that Lordstown Motors had the first two beta trucks come off the assembly line yesterday. I know I know -- SEC investigation -- yes I know one of their trucks burned to the ground in January on a test drive. But i like the way they are doing the trucks. They actually look like a truck -- compare it to the Cyber truck, and just looks alone it wins hands down. I also think the hub motors will be the way for EV to go in the future. The space a motor like Tesla uses can be dedicated to storage area or more battery space for longer distances. I'm slowly coming to face reality that EV will be what we drive in the next 10 to 15 years. So I've been watching and reading on different companies. I do have a few shares of Lordstown (38 shares -- please stop laughing at the small amount.) Hopefully the remaining test trucks come off the line without a hitch, the testing of them goes off without a hitch, and production starts this fall. https://electrek.co/2021/03/31/lordstown-motors-reveals-its-first-two-endurance-betas/ submitted by /u/UTrider [link] [comments]

  48. LUCID Motors' future mired in uncertainty (07/04/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
Lucid Motors is just a mirage. In 3-4 years all the EV automakers will use solid-state batteries and Lucid's main advantage will simply vanish. Volvo, Daimler, and other luxury car makers are launching EVs, better looking and with competitive tech. The difference is that they put more emphasis on comfort, rather than on the 0-60 acceleration. Where are you going to use it? Will you stick it to the guy in the car next to you at the traffic lights? If so, maybe you shouldn't drive at all. Feel the need for adrenaline? Go to an amusement park, don't put other traffic participants in danger. Your car has 1000 hp and not 400 hp? Cool. My point is that many specs that Rawlinson boasts with are impressive from an engineering perspective, but nothing more. Having production facilities already in place, other car manufacturers with already established brands can afford to undercut Lucid by a significant margin. And if they can afford to undercut they can afford to overspend on R&D and hire superstar researchers. In the end, if the cars don't differ by much on what really matters to you, will you really pay double? If yes, have fun during hail storms and all the other little accidents that happen every day. That being said, I'm still willing to see Lucid succeed somehow, because if they do, that means they have found something underexplored, and it will force other competitors to improve and move further the innovation frontier. If Tesla didn't succeed, we would be far behind in green technology adoption today. submitted by /u/orso-nero [link] [comments]
