https://wildflowersinternational.com/uganda The Wildflowers Foundation is located in Kiwoko Town, Nakaseke district. Kiwoko is a small town located 48 miles from Kampala and approximately 9 miles off of the main road; through papyrus swamps and a farming community. While it is a serene and beautiful area of Uganda, it also has a high population of young girls who drop out of school due to unplanned pregnancy, sexual exploitation and HIV/AIDS. The local government has been overwhelmed by cases of young women unequipped to provide for their children. As a result, The Wildflowers Foundation was a dream Sarah Nassimbwa had for many years having grown up in this community and witnessing the great need she knew something needed to change for the young mothers. The Wildflowers Foundation was born after years of dreaming and hoping for something better and a desire to empower mothers to care for their own little ones. submitted by /u/borninthebronx [link] [comments]
