I have a question about Uranium.

Reddit Stocks

15/09/2021 - 03:40

I have a question about what the hell is going on with the price of Uranium? For context: my chemistry teacher assigned us a project to get a white t-shirt and to pick an element(I chose uranium) and to give its atomic number, atomic mass, number of isotopes, year it was discovered, who discovered it, and it’s price. My teacher assigned this project last week during Wednesday, I searched up the easy answers(which was pretty much everything) and earlier today, I went to go check everything to make sure it is correct and news articles popped up talking about how the price of uranium is skyrocketing and they all mentioned Reddit. So, this is my question, what the hell is going on with the price of Uranium and can someone give me an estimate of what the price is right now? submitted by /u/mikey10123456 [link] [comments]

  1. Uranium Question (03/07/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
Hello! I’m new to the stock world and I’ve been looking for a long term investment and uranium stocks seem to be a pretty good choice. With China opening 17 new nuclear power plants and Germany either re-opening (or already re opened I can’t remember lol) it seems that the world is going to need more uranium. I just don’t know any company’s that I should be looking into and I was wondering if you guys could tell me some! Thank you submitted by /u/ilovemushr00ms [link] [comments]

  2. Future of Uranium (12/02/2021 - Reddit Stock Market)
Curious to hear others thoughts on uranium and opinions on where that’s headed short/long term. What am I missing?? UUUU and DNN and even URG have been at a steady incline for months with a nice jump today and after hours. Possibly in anticipation that Biden will back the uranium stockpile Trump was initiating for energy? The happenings with Iran? DNN makes sense, they own 90% of the Wheeler River uranium mine project and just approved a $24 million budget as it looks to restart the environmental assessment process But overall uranium is trending up for most companies. I tried doing some DD but haven’t seen much discussion around uranium so I’m turning to the people! TIA! submitted by /u/nichole0210 [link] [comments]

  3. Genomics vs Uranium (17/08/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
Both of these industries seem to have great long term potential… genomics ability to cure diseases would be crazy and incredibly profitable. Uranium on the other hand has limited amount of mines around the world with an increasing demand over the next decade…. Which could drive up prices of uranium.. which of these plays seem to have higher risk/reward and which is better play u think submitted by /u/NarutoVonnegut [link] [comments]

  4. $DNN Is Taking Off (18/02/2021 - Reddit Stock Market)
Is Uranium the future of clean energy? ???????? Denison Mining Corp welcomes you to the era of clean energy. Now that Joe Biden has taken over the office of the president, we are seeing a push to decarbonize the economy, and what better way to decarbonize the economy than nuclear energy? Nuclear energy will soon be the poster child for clean energy. There are three things you need to know about nuclear energy, it produces minimal waste, its land footprint is small but most importantly (at least for us investors) it’s a zero-emission clean energy source. Why is this important for us investors you ask? Nuclear energy generates power through a process called fission. Fission is the process of splitting URANIUM atoms. For all you mouth breathers that aren’t following along... ????CLEAN ENERGY=URANIUM. ???? If you want to get rich during the Biden Administration and beyond you need to get your filthy little hands on some sweet Uranium. However, there are multiple Uranium companies out there, how do you choose the right one? Well boys and girls, I’m here to tell you about this great uranium mining company called Denison Mining Corp (DNN) Denison Mining Corp (DNN) is a uranium mining company based out of Canada. This company is a lucrative buy because it owns 90% of the Wheeler River project which is at this point in time the largest undeveloped high grade uranium project. Denison mining is perhaps in possession of the single best uranium deposit in the world. We are still in the infancy stages of this company and all it has to offer the world of clean energy. Their market cap just hitting $1 Billion today, which is just the beginning. So if you’re trying to get to the moon, hop aboard the DNN rocketship. ????????????????????WE LIKE THE STOCK, REMEMBER CLEAN ENERGY=URANIUM, URANIUM=DNN???????????????????? As always, do your own DD! It’s your money, only you can decide what stocks will take you to tendie town! I’m not a expert nor is this financial advice. EDIT: So adding this on after reading some comments against nuclear energy. The real question is not whether you personally believe nuclear energy is the future, it’s whether the governments and other entities in charge think it’s the future. 10. Uranium Supply Squeeze: Articles explain backdrop, mechanism, and forecast for this Squeeze Event (10/09/2021 - Reddit Stock Market)
Hello All - We have a newly developing supply squeeze for the most precious Renewable Energy Fuel of all: Uranium. Price of Uranium has skyrocketed 30% in the last month and show no signs of slowing down. One company alone by the name of "Sprotts" is responsible for most of the 30% run up. ONE company. Their thesis is simple: buy up all the available uranium - which is in very low supply - and store it until they can force Utilities to buy the fuel at a much higher price. These two articles provide good information about this scenario unfolding and why one company alone has been able to move the market for this limited commodity. 15. DNN and the potential Uranium bull run (13/02/2021 - Reddit Stock Market)
I see a very bright future for DNN. Uranium market has very good fundamentals: - The biggest 2 companies has left because of COVID (Kazatomprom and Cameco respectively), there is not enough supply of uranium to face the return to normal life, if you don´t know what this means do not invest in stocks. - Biden presidency trillion investment on clean energy. - Reactivation of the economy will rise the electricity consumption and uranium demand with it. - China just finished building 5 nuclear reactors and will put them into operation any time soon. - Uranium price went down since the 2011 Fukushima accident. It is definitely undervalued. With the current technologies and security improves, the risk of that kind of events is minimal. As for DNN: - Denison mines has found perhaps the best single uranium deposit in the world, the Canadian Saskatchewan. Their Phoenix project at Wheeler River has showed a 19.1% grade uranium sample. For context, between 0.5 and 1 is decent, while anything above 4 is considered great. - The discovered Uranium is close to the ground: their operating cost is an insanely cheap 9 dollars per pound. - An absolutely insane options increase. 150k Mar. 19 $2.50 call options added this week. The 99.9% call to put ratio, indicates to me someone knows something. Uranium mining may not be sexy, but if Uranium prices go from $30/lb back toward their all-time highs of $140/lb, I see DNN as being poised to capitalize massively. My perspective is long term bullish, but the options activity has me being very near-term bullish. "Uranium ores typically have very low yields of the element of between 0.1 to 0.2%, and some have concentrations lower than 0.05%. The Canadian Saskatchewan mines are the exception and have yields of more than 20% uranium." https://commodity.com/energy/uranium/ https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/denison-announces-discovery-of-high-grade-uranium-mineralization-four-kilometres-northwest-of-phoenix-301216940.html https://www.denisonmines.com/news/denison-announces-discovery-of-high-grade-uranium-122721/ https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/DNN/options?date=1616112000 https://www.valuethemarkets.com/2021/01/25/perfect-conditions-for-uranium-to-shine/ I´ve been long on DNN for a long time and I think the time of the Uranium bull run (especially DNN) is just starting. 23. My Methodology For Choosing Junior Uranium Mining Stocks. Based On This Criteria, These Are My Picks. Interested To Hear Where Folks Agree/Disagree. (09/04/2021 - Reddit Stock Market)
As someone who is still relatively new to uranium investing (began investing Q3 last year) I wanted to share, at least at a very high level, my methodology for evaluating the junior mining stocks. For those similarly invested in the jrs, I would be very interested to hear from others on how you go about your DD... and also which tickers you really like that I may be overlooking. High level - I have been segmenting jrs. intro two categories: Those that reasonably could produce uranium at some point Those that probably will not produce Pros and cons for each but generally: - Pro: The stocks may go up just because of sector hype (low market caps have a lot of upside potential) - Pro: At a certain price point most jrs will have value/produce (ie uranium price goes up, risk goes down) - Obvious Con: Super risky for a whole bunch of reasons/may lose everything overnight I then ask myself the following: How much uranium could they produce At what price point will they produce profitably How reasonable is it that uranium will hit this price How much time and money will it take to get to production Will the company need to raise additional capital Catalysts/Risks in the near term Compare all of the above to the current market cap Using this framework, I have been steadily increasing my positions on the jrs over the past few months (now about 55% of my portfolio). Def could change my mind on all of these but my thinking is basically to spread it out at a significantly heavier weight then I would get from the etfs. I am currently invested in the following, each has been very successful: EnCore Energy Group ($ENCUF) - 15% Global Atomic Corporation ($GLATF) - 15% Fission Uranium Corporation ($FCUUF) - 15% Paladin Energy Limited ($PALAF) - 5% Western Uranium ($WSTRF) - 5% Next week, I am planning on shifting things around a bit and taking positions in Bannerman, Lotus, and Boss. "Sprott in particular, reports Financial Times, has "snapped up" 6 million pounds of physical uranium, worth about $240 million, over the past couple of months, bringing its total holdings to about 24 million pounds. According to Bloomberg, that's equivalent to about 26% of all uranium sold all around the world in 2020. " "Factor in the 16 million pounds of uranium held by London's Yellow Cake PLC and these two companies alone now have a stranglehold on uranium supply -- controlling about 43% of annual demand. (Although according to Financial Times, that demand is likely to more than double in size through 2030.)" 9/10 SPROTTS ANNOUNCEMENT: They’ve announced they have 1 Billion in additional funding for more purchases. 26. Uranium Bull Market Is Upon Us! Who Else Is Invested In Junior Mining Stocks? Just Added Positions in 3 More Jrs! (10/04/2021 - Reddit Stock Market)
As someone who is still relatively new to uranium investing (started investing Q3 last year) I think the biggest challenge in investing in this space is evaluating the smaller uranium companies; specifically, those classified under the “junior” miner umbrella. For those new to uranium investing, many of these tickers are lesser known, largely because they are either traded OTC, or listed on smaller foreign exchanges (Canadian, Australian, etc). However, in my perspective, these stocks are where the BIG rewards are. And particularly for those who believe in the prevailing supply/demand narrative, I highly recommend taking positions in the jr miners. That being said, there are MANY jr mining stocks to choose from. And as the uranium bull market develops, there will be an influx of newcomers, many of which are just capital traps that will never produce. Conversely, there are so many good choices haha. I could confidently recommend 20-25 junior mining stocks. Still, it’s helpful to do a bit of DD before diving in. My Methodology For Picking Junior Mining Stocks That said, here is my methodology (at a very high level) of how I go about evaluating the jrs. Would be very interested to hear how others go about their DD on the jrs. Again (very high level) I have been segmenting jrs. intro two categories: Those that reasonably could produce uranium at some point Those that probably will not produce Pros and cons for each but generally: - Pro: The stocks may go up just because of sector hype (low market caps have a lot of upside potential) - Pro: At a certain price point most jrs will have value/produce (ie uranium price goes up, risk goes down) - Obvious Con: Super risky for a whole bunch of reasons/may lose everything overnight I then ask myself the following: How much uranium could they produce At what price point will they produce profitably How reasonable is it that uranium will hit this price How much time and money will it take to get to production Will the company need to raise additional capital Catalysts/Risks in the near term Compare all of the above to the current market cap Using this framework, I have been steadily increasing my positions on the jrs over the past few months (about 55% of my uranium portfolio, will be ~65% next week). I definitely could change my mind but my general thinking is basically to spread it out at a significantly heavier weight then I would get from the etfs. My Positions in Junior Mining Stocks I am currently invested in the following, each has been very successful: EnCore Energy Group ($ENCUF) - 15% Global Atomic Corporation ($GLATF) - 15% Fission Uranium Corporation ($FCUUF) - 15% Paladin Energy Limited ($PALAF) - 5% Western Uranium ($WSTRF) - 5% Additionally, I plan to add positions next week in the following: Bannerman ($BNNLF) - 5% Lotus ($LOT.AX) - 2.5% Boss ($BQSSF) - 2.5% I am curious what others think of these companies. Also, if anyone is willing to share, I would be interested to hear which of the junior miners you like that I may be overlooking. As always, any feedback is greatly appreciated! submitted by /u/BooOnClay [link] [comments]

  28. UUUU is the flagship US Uranium Mining Stock (24/03/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
And they produced exactly 0 lbs of Uranium Last Year..... Control yourselfs folks. Why am In UUUU. Simply I feel it is the best way for me to play the Green Energy and Rare Earth Boom that is coming. Nuclear is currently our only Carbon Free Fuel Source for Baseload Energy. It doesn't compete with wind and solar. It competes with Coal and Natural Gas to provide the power we need when the wind isn't blowing or the moon is in the sky. The Uranium Market is highly cylical and it has been beaten down for a long time. History shows that when it pops it goes big. The stock is relatively cheap and the upside potential is exponential. The company has recently branched into the rare earth's market as well. I have been looking gain exposure to this market and they are the best US Play I've found. The stock has pulled back from 7.80 to 5.98 in the last week. Check it out if you are interested in this market segments. Not advice just an idiot with an opinion. submitted by /u/Jettae7 [link] [comments]

  30. Uranium & Lithium:Azincourt Energy (13/03/2021 - Reddit Stock Market)

  31. Cheap way to go long commodities/inflation/hard assets via Uranium CCJ (30/04/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
want to be long volatility and hard asset? but don't want to pay up the wazoo for vix proxy calls or vix futures or suffer from the decay in vix based products, why not buy something that produces 15%+ (and growing) of the worlds electricity at rock bottom generational low prices with multi decade low in volatility in that asset class (will rise as commodities rise in general and/or liquidity returns to the sector). Risk Reward: In Cameco/kazatomprom maybe 30% downside risk, 200-300% upside thats 10:1 risk reward. In some of the smaller names you are looking at 20:1, maybe 30:1 risk/reward. Be mindful of market caps as virtually all the smaller companies have diluted hence their upside is not as high as the charts may suggest. (examples would be energy fuels and some of the other diluters) Many ways to play this based on your risk appetite. In short; (lower risk) CCJ, kazatomprom , yellow cake, uranium participation corp ---> (mid risk) Nexgen NXE , Paladin , Denison ---> (high risk) all the other uranium juniors originally posted here https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1387526429416509441.html not my own research but a nice summary from a reputable source Tickers: $CCJ and $U on TMX soon to be listed on NYSE Disclosure: i am long Cameco and Uranium participation corp This should in no way replace regular portfolio weighting towards say precious metals rather just occupy part of your portfolio in a similar way to say precious metals or other speculative assets ... maybe <3-5% at most. TLDR: Uranium space tiny market, physical uranium space even tinier, utilities price agnostic, 600 million uranium holding fund changing ownership and listing to NYSE from 3 trillion pool of capital canadian market to 50+ trillion pool of capital US market. Price increases over NAV will cause U fund to buy physical U, in a market with declining inventory. Supply shock into a demand shock/utility restocking cycle. submitted by /u/staffpro1 [link] [comments]

  32. Uranium will help reach our Green Energy needs (14/09/2021 - Reddit Stock Market)
Uranium Energy will be an important factor in reaching our green energy goals. A great example being France, meets 70% of its electricity needs with Nuclear Power. In addition, Nuclear Power is expected to grow in importance and efficiency with a possible transition from Fission to Fusion power. Fusion power has the capability to provide a multiple amount of power more than Fission and increased efficiency. Many people, such as the WallStreetBets community has taken notice. Uranium Stocks Jump as Reddit’s WallStreetBets Goes Nuclear - WSJ Here's why Nuclear can help close the gap to zero carbon emissions. MIT recently did a study highlighting the importance of diversity in electricity production: Deep Decarbonization of the U.S. Electricity Sector: Is There a Role for Nuclear Power? | MIT Global Change . Nuclear deserves a seat at the table. Today Nuclear Power generates 50% of non carbon electricity in the US. As the conversation about our green energy future continues lets not forget about nuclear and how we can make it safer by upgrading existing plants with safety improvements. Nuclear runs 95% of the time vs it's counterparts which need wind or sun to operate. In addition, a lot of trees have to be cut down for wind and solar. It's clear a mix of energy production options are key. Some companies are ahead of the coming transition: 6 Minute CEO - Uranium Energy Corp. - Amir Adnani - YouTube. submitted by /u/capex- [link] [comments]

  33. Clean Energy Stocks ???? What do you guys think? (28/02/2021 - Reddit Stock Market)
Sharing my .02 on the state of things. Love to hear where folks agree/disagree, and any opinions on where there is potential elsewhere within the sector. Also, first time poster, so please go easy on me lol. Mines CCJ - Cameco - One of the largest producers in the world. In Canada, probably the least risky DNN - Denison Mines - Canadian miner, relatively small but has been around since the last boom NXE - NexGen Energy - World class deposit, potential to be a massive producer but still early days UEC - Uranium Energy Corp - Risky but is doing well URG - UR Energy - Very risky, I may buy more of this one. They are hoping for US gov. stimulus to avoid equity dilution raises. Potential upside is their new production process which should give them the lowest cost production in the US. Processing/Mines UUUU - Energy Fuels - I like this one a lot. They are based in the US and will benefit for the US gov. spending. They also own a processing mill which is one of the only facilities available for uranium in the US. Recently they have pivoted into rare earths and are getting a lot of press for this. To my knowledge they have not yet delivered on the rare earth contract which is a near term catalyst/risk. Processing LEU - Centrus Energy - Enrichment facility, one of the only ones I could find thats public, lot of variability in the stock price but I'm up over 100% ETF URA - Global Uranium ETF - Lot of the above tickers in this. Key thing is that they also have holdings in the Kazakistan company which is the largest and lowest cost producer in the world. Other thing to note is that some of the companies included often are only secondary producers of uranium (ie they mine gold but also find uranium). This is my way of having access to the Kazaks. I wouldn’t be surprised if they pulled back further from where they are today and then move up significantly over the next few years due to supply / demand dynamics in the market. Obviously could be wrong lol. Also, I have stayed away from the OTC markets for now, but there are also a number of jr. miners/explorers that have significant upside potential. submitted by /u/BooOnClay [link] [comments]

"The next day, Denison announced encouraging results from its exploration and expansion drilling program. On Feb. 10, Denison said it raised $25 million via a stock and warrant sale that it would use to fund its operations." 40. Is Trench Metals legit? (17/09/2021 - Reddit Stock Market)
Hello Redditors I found Trench Metals (TMC). Im not sure if i can trust this stock. Im 50% sure they are scalpers. But there are a few reason i think it might be legit. The reason i think its legit is bc i can find this stock in a lot of stock exchanges. The second reason i think its legit is if they are scalpers and the shares goes down to 0.09 cent then its over. But this stock is coming up again. The reasons i think its not legit is they changed name a few times. I cant find a lot of information about the CEO but maybe im just dumb. But what scares me mostly is that they seem to do another business when their name was novateqni. Back then some sort of software with matching hardware. Now they search for uranium. Could it be they just used what they had to make this kind if business with uranium discoveries? Could someone who actually knows something about stocks help? If its legit im gonna buy some shares. Sorry for my poor english. submitted by /u/Osix9 [link] [comments]

  43. My Watchlist For 5/26/2021 (26/05/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
$ALE - Great uptrend that showed some life for us at the end of the day, could dip a bit more but this is a great play to watch. $AZEK - Called on my discord earlier today and already up 3%, plenty of room still left to run. $CX - Could use 3% - 5% more dip, but when that comes this thing is an absolute machine and prints like clockwork. $KRNY - I need life first because it is free falling, but when it reverses this thing will be an amazing deal for sure. $MEOH - Triangle we need a bit more off of before I move in on it. If we get a breakout we may have an amazing play for sure. $RADA - Great triangle, we could get it a bit cheaper - but this is a great place to be for a triangle play like this. $SXC - We need again, a bit more off - but once we get it - this thing may be an easy 10 - 15%. $URA - great Uranium ETF coming to value, overall Uranium is an amazing surge and I have been riding it, may buy this 'dip' submitted by /u/No_Seesaw1134 [link] [comments]
