  3. $FCEL and others.... (13/06/2021 - Reddit Stock Market)
If you are ITM on a stock, and the stock is down, why do people get so pissed off? Seriously, the companies fundamentals are basically shit, but there is support there because anything that can help with the environment, well, helps! You knew the fundamentals were shit when you bought it, and it would take time to fix.....if you bought in HIGH....same....so why all the negative posts I see floating around by people who actually own the stock???? SHORTEES NEED NOT APPLY....KEEP IT MOVING! PS... I like this stock. Stocks only go up! $FCEL ???????? then ???????? submitted by /u/InternationalTune314 [link] [comments]

  6. $WOOF play on chewys earnings report (10/06/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
Chewy reports earnings today after hours. There’s a really good chance that if their earnings are good Petco can react positively. That jump to $25 is only the beginning as tomorrow is gonna rocket. Petco has been on a downward spiral the past few months as the market took a shit. -> Even juicier is their float is at 76.87 million shares since they are still in lockup. -> 25.75% of shares outstanding are getting shorted with only 1/3 of shares being available to trade in the public. This isn’t a short squeeze post but a very strong earnings play on a stock that’s been getting pushed down for the past 3 months. The short interest is just more fire to fuel the climb. This isn’t a meme play Petco is a good stock and I don’t believe brick and mortar pet shops are going anywhere. submitted by /u/ThyMagicConch [link] [comments]

  8. Arrival Group (ARVL) (07/04/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
Previously knows as CIIG Merger. Scalable microfactories could be game changer in EV automotive industry. The company already landed two bullish calls of $50 by Wolfe Research and $28.5 by Cowen & co. The stock currently trade at $16 down from $37 highs. Down with the rest of SPACs last month, now could a golden price. Whether a short term trader or long term investor, this is a great entry point. Good traders can trade anything that moves, but when you combine good trading with good stock-picking, then you have an extra edge. Good stock picks will help bail you out of bad entries, and they also give you confidence so you can be more aggressive. Low volume and low float and is trading below 200SMA. This could make historical move on postive news. Whether you invest in SPACs or not, this is a good one to consider. submitted by /u/BullMarketBeast [link] [comments]

  9. This week is going to be biggest NASDAQ week in this month? Your prediction? (25/04/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
Apple, Amazon, Alphabet, Facebook, Tesla, Microsoft, Pinterest earnings will be released this way. If earnings are good, stock probably rise (of cause Intel fell because its all about growth, not just good earnings). Apple, Alphabet and Microsoft are safest bet. No matter how bad/good earnings are, stock will go up no matter what (can fall temporary). Amazon is strong company but it will be same as Netflix? Covid-19 is over, no more huge profit after Covid-19... sure... cloud, video stream but really... people want to travel, spend time outside etc. I think Amazon won't grow or fall. Tesla earnings is most important thing right now. If earnings are mind blowing, stock probably rise a lot. But if earnings are not so good, probably all other car stocks rise and Tesla fall. Pinterest, i love this app but rumors are that earnings will be bad. Could it fall more? submitted by /u/MAARJA007 [link] [comments]

  10. Thoughts on TJX earnings? (24/05/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
What are your thoughts for TJX after earnings? I personally thought the report was very good. Increased in sales plus earnings beat. However, the stock price dropped substantially post earnings. I guess their P/E ratio is extremely high, and investors were expecting a even bigger beat? Any other reasons that the stock may have dropped so much on a good earnings report? 11. Earnings starting 5/3, good or bad? (02/05/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
Looks like the first week of earnings were a wild ride. We had apple kind of go up, but then back down. Then we saw Tesla go down then go back up. We had Twitter sink, amd rise. Every stock actually still did pretty good, yet not all stocks rose. This week we have another week with lots of good names reporting earnings. We’ve got lots of companies like Fastly, Square and Roku. I’m most looking forward to PayPal and Twilio. Both of those are going to crush earnings and have a good upside. Thoughts? submitted by /u/lilaznjocky [link] [comments]

  12. Buying and selling a single stock, to learn? (12/04/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
I’ve been in the stock market for about 6 months now. Life has been crazy busy for me lately and I wasn’t making good returns anyways so I withdrew everything except for $50. I figured I could let it sit until I felt like playing with it again. I’ve done quite a bit or research into swing trading and that’s definitely what I’d like to do. So my question is Is it a good idea to trade a stock of a company over and over again week to week? I figured doing this could allow me to dive deeper into some more fundamental aspects of stocks and maybe technicals I had missed. I’d be able to easily track news since I’d only need to follow the market as a whole and my specific stock. The other way I thought of doing this was to just trade a single stock each week. Which is what I’m leaning towards most. Buy on monday/early week dip, sell when I get a good return or by the end of the week. The idea being to have cash at the end of each week. It would serve as a nice reset each week. It would be easy to look into the week and see why the trade went well or poorly. In the weekend I’d also be looking for the next stock. Im curious how I should go about this, If I even should. I’d be playing with $50. Idc if I lose it all. The goal would be to learn as much as possible while cutting out anything unnecessary to making a single good trade. I don’t have time to screen stocks every day. I want something simple and effective. I’m not looking at this is me investing in the sense of a portfolio. The sole purpose is to learn. I figured I’d probably be safe going for large or medium cap stocks since they roll with the market more, but at the same time I’d like enough volatility to actually catch profit. I figure 5% is a reasonable thing to ask. Any information on this is appreciated. submitted by /u/smikilit [link] [comments]

  13. Buying opportunity or falling knife? SKLZ, FCEL, SPCE, WKHS today (15/04/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
Hey friends, I've been considering opening a new position in 1-2 new stocks that are in the $10-20 price range (so that I can buy at least 100 shares and sell covered calls) in the above stocks. Wondering how people feel about these right now, if there's been any recent news I might've missed to explain the price action. SKLZ had a $24/sh offering last month, now at $15 with an amazingly low RSI. WKHS has been dropping since losing the contract they really needed, not much going for it at the moment? FCEL and SPCE are just down a lot. High risk but great short term upside? Are you buying any of these, or why not? Thanks and have a great Thursday submitted by /u/scatterblooded [link] [comments]

  14. What Can You Make Off Day Trading? (26/05/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
I'm very new to stocks and trading, and I'm wondering what people realistically make off day trading. Obviously it depends on the stocks and how much money you put into them, but what I mean is: if a good investment stock looks like 10% growth per year, then is a realistic day trade more like 1% growth at the end of the day? I see some stocks on Webull that show 40% or even 100% growth after a few days, but I'm guessing that means it's no longer a good time to buy them if the point is to day trade. Apologies for the simplistic language! I'm on a pre-k level in the stock market and its lingo. submitted by /u/BatmanMan1990 [link] [comments]

  17. CRWD earnings? (18/08/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
Been looking at the cyber security stock CRWD for some time now, all cyber security stocks have been taking a hit this week and last. Im wondering what you guys think about CrowdStrike's earnings coming up on 8/31. I know personally that companies like LMT have switched over and now use CrowdStrike's software. Recently companies have been sold off even after good earnings. With a P/E of 325 I am a little scared that most of this good news is already baked in and the stock was way overvalued before this recent dip and will continue to correct through earnings and a little after. Other companies in the sector like FSLY FEYE NET had a small dip after earnings and now seem to have found new support levels. On the other hand if CRWD drops a lot after earnings I also believe these stocks will. Been very confused about buying around earnings this year and would love to hear peoples takes. submitted by /u/tahopg [link] [comments]

We can see that two earnings ago, ANF had broken out and had a 64% run-up into earnings in 14 trading days. Overall, the trend is still bullish for ANF as the stock price is above all 3 EMA lines. If ANF breaks thru the highs of $41.43, it has the potential to head higher, consolidate and bounce into earnings. The TTM_Squeeze indicator is currently at 0 and the recent breakout could signal a bullish move to the upside going into earnings. 19. Looking for a stock to trade - Higher volatility and trades within a band (22/03/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
I'm looking for a stock to trade, I have a neutral strategy I'm looking to test out. Ideal situation would be a stock that typically trades within a +-10% or so range, ideally with relatively high volatility and volume, and a typical high/low range of about 1-3% or more (again volatility good). If there is an asset type that works better than stocks for this I'm open to alternatives, but thinking a stock would work best. submitted by /u/DukeNukus [link] [comments]

  22. Would SKLZ be at a possible buying point? (03/08/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
So just to be upfront, I'm new to stock trading and am still learning so I am trying to work on identifying good stocks. As of right now SKLZ is trading at around 13.40-13.50 with a market cap of 5.31B Last quarter their earnings per share and revenue beat expectations by a bit of a margin, and their newest quarterly reports will be released today at 5:30 PM. When I look at the evaluation of the analysts on my brokerage (I'm using E-Trade) they put the value at a low of 17 and an average price target of 24.50. I saw other posts about SKLZ of users who thought that the company was overvalued back when it was at 28 a share, but now that the stock has dropped, would this be a good entry point? Again, I'm still new and learning so please let me know what you think and any information you think I might have missed. Thank you! submitted by /u/Kubashna [link] [comments]

I have been day trading for a year now and I think its a good idea to day trade together with other people now, so we can do things like discussing stocks and crypto. 24. Something that as a newbie cannot quite figure out (28/08/2021 - Reddit Stock Market)
I study about trading for 4-5 months, I am mostly interested in day trading. My questions might seem stupid to most of you, but since the forex market is much more liquid than the stock market, provides more leverage (good and bad, good for a trader that has studied about the topic), isn't as dependent on fundamentals, so all that time that a trader who trades shares/ options/ whatever was supposed to sacrifice for reading the news and do DD, they can get away with technical analysis only, and on top of that they are able to trade whenever they want from Monday to Friday, why, despite all the above, most day traders, at least the ones that I have come across to, seem to trade the stock market? What are the advantages of day trading shares/ options/ futures/ bonds or whatever over forex? submitted by /u/EfraimTkT [link] [comments]

KIN Their current price target is $10.25 but you can get in at $5.11 right now. Their earnings date is coming up in March and it might not be great. Could effect the stock 20-35 cents range”maybe” if at all. I went back and looked at stock before and after past earnings and stock didn’t move too much except March 16 2020 it dropped 37% on bad earnings. But at that time the stock was $10-$11 range not $5 They have an investor meeting coming up Feb 25th with Bank of America. That’s good if a deal is signed with them it will go up quickly. 27. Day trading with long-term stocks (29/07/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
Since I’m still learning, I question how to lose money while day trading if you’re day trading good long-term positions. Disclaimer, I have nowhere near enough money to actually day trade ($25k minimum), so I’d have to bi-day trade… However, if I were to do this, I’m wondering how to lose money. If I bought a stock that I had faith in on a dip, and wanted to sell it off when it goes up later in the [next] day, I’d profit. But if it doesn’t go back up within a day, week, month, I could just hold it and move on to another stock. The stock may eventually go up, if I’ve done proper DD (and don’t get unlucky). So unless the company goes south for the longterm/bankrupt, I wouldn’t lose money, right? I’ve seen a lot of day traders suggest selling your day trade at a loss before the loss gets worse… seems like a better solution to just hold and wait? Unless you bought a stock you have no faith in at all. I’m curious what obvious stock knowledge I’m missing here. Thanks! submitted by /u/Jennifer_Veg [link] [comments]

  29. PSA: During earnings season, we should look more towards the company’s actual financial performance, not the stock’s reaction (29/04/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
In the midst of the earnings season, we should be more interested in how the company is actually performing, not just staring blindly at the stock’s reaction to the results. If a company shows good financial performance and provides positive news, you should be happy. Don’t worry about the fact that the stock might be 5% down after hours, since that just usually means the positive news were already baked in. Despite the short term drop, your stock still shows that it’s fundamentally strong and will provide good value in the long run. The stock will eventually catch up with its growth if it does lag. But you shouldn’t be shocked if the stock tanks because of the quarterly reports. Worry more about the company than the actual stock. submitted by /u/juaggo_ [link] [comments]

  30. What will earnings look like for BB, and what will it do to the stock price? (17/03/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
Curious to what you all think will happen to BB this upcoming earnings report. They have a slew of new partnerships, but unlikely to affect its earnings. The Facebook settlement will (probably) be less than expected. I think the company is gearing up to head upwards in the long run. They just rebranded their website and now finally marketing themselves as cybersecurity. Hopefully this dissociates them from the old phone making days. With all that said, its still ~6 billion market cap. Lots of potential with IVY. There are other hyped stocks that trade like 50-100x their earnings, so why can't BB? Do you think this quarterly earnings will give them a leg up into the $15-$20 range? My position: 5,285 shares @ $11.85 submitted by /u/just_lick_my_ass [link] [comments]

Reposting it since my post got deleted!!! Can someone explain to me why usually on the earnings days and mostly the day after earnings the stock goes down no matter if the company is doing well or bad? so I cannot make sense of it, AMD, Tesla, APPLE, ENPH, etc. all beat their estimates and their earnings is not bad, but right after the earnings or the day after they go down with at least a couple of %. Is there any reason for that or it is just one of those unwritten rules? I see this trend no matter of good performance or bad performance submitted by /u/seyeeet [link] [comments]

The Trade Desk, which belongs to the Zacks Internet - Services industry, posted revenues of $279.97 million for the quarter ended June 2021, surpassing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 7.08%. This compares to year-ago revenues of $139.36 million. The company has topped consensus revenue estimates four times over the last four quarters. The sustainability of the stock's immediate price movement based on the recently-released numbers and future earnings expectations will mostly depend on management's commentary on the earnings call. The Trade Desk shares have added about 4.9% since the beginning of the year versus the S&P 500's gain of 18.1%." submitted by /u/I_worship_odin [link] [comments]

  36. Good trading platforms (24/08/2021 - Reddit Stock Market)
Honest question, I'm a relatively new trader. I started on Robinhood, but quickly ran away from that shit. Now I trade with E*trade, and have for a few months. I honestly like the interface, they had an update a while back that really improved things, and to the best of my knowledge, the trading terms are pretty good. But this is where I need help, is Etrade a good platform? I hear everyone on here recommending Fidelity or TD Ameritrade, and I'm just a little worried I may have been mistaken in choosing Etrade? Any advice the more affluent traders are able to offer on this subject would be much appreciated. submitted by /u/MisterH115 [link] [comments]

  37. Any stock at a huge discount? (11/06/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
EDU is the only one I can think of that might be worth buying right now, but aside that I don't know any other stock. I think HAE is good, but I don't think it's gonna go up anytime soon. Do you know any stock that's trade at a huge discount? I need to add more stocks to my watch list. submitted by /u/seacobs [link] [comments]

  38. Swing/day trade groups that gives free signals? (04/04/2021 - Reddit Stock Market)
I’m sorry if this has been asked before, but does anyone know good free day/swing trading Discord communities? I have been day trading for a year now and I think its a good idea to day trade together with other people now, so we can do things like discussing stocks and crypto. So I’m looking for a Discord server with a place to talk with other traders and if thats possible one that also gives free day/swing trade alerts. The only ones I found where paid and I want to try it for free! So, if you know a discord or an other group on an other platform please comment it, because you would help me a lot, thank you! submitted by /u/BeautifulExtent5232 [link] [comments]

  39. $KOPN has been a sneaking giant (09/02/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
$KOPN is up 1,800% in 1 year. From below 2 in July 2020 to $8 almost being its new floor. Huge accumulation has occurred in the past 3 months. There have been recent offerings and insider selling, some of which was given to charity. Then it appeared they bought more, and have further outside buyers. Earnings are 3/9, and could be their first profitable quarter ever. The accumulation is definitely due to good earnings expectations. I am speculating $10 by EOM. $12 by earnings. Could see $20 before end of March, if reaction to earnings are as good as i expect earnings to be. 914 shares average $4.15. $5 and $7.5C 3/19. Might get rid of half before earnings. submitted by /u/madmattmen [link] [comments]

  40. Stock recommendations to learn how to trade Vertical Spreads (14/02/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
Does anyone have any good Stock Recommendations to learn how to trade Verticals? I really want to start adding more to my trading this year (I do mostly Cover Calls) and I've been trying to learn Vertical Spreads this week. I don't have Think or Swim so I can't really do paper trading (Unless there is another program where I can) but I would like to do a Vertical Spread and not really worry if I screw up, mainly because this is basically so I can get experience and learn. submitted by /u/sjsharksfan12 [link] [comments]

  41. Chinese stock bloodbath continues, with BABA, Tencent still showing no signs of life. Can we buy in yet? (17/08/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
It's looking brutal for both of the big Chinese names. The education stocks we of course have to dismiss from the get-go, they're done. However the jury is still out on BABA and Tencent. This can be a generational buying opportunity if China lets them do business somewhat freely even after the crackdown. Tencent music is hard to evaluate with the forced streaming rights thing, but it's a separate ticker from Tencent (TME vs TCEHY). Personally I bought a 2023 LEAP on BABA at 186, thinking it was a great buy. We are down from even that, and Baba is dancing around very crucial moving averages now. I also opened a long day trade on Tencent since their earnings are tomorrow. Guidance will matter a LOT, but the stock is down so much that the previous quarter earnings will possibly be outstanding given their stock prices, allowing for a nice day trade. However, the uncertainty absolutely cannot be understated. What do you think? Are you biting yet? submitted by /u/Cadenca [link] [comments]

  42. Moneygram International MGI down almost 20% despite positive earnings and outlook.. Good buying opportunity? (22/02/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
Moneygram International had a good earnings however they are down pretty big. They did have a huge run up until earnings so a pull back is inevitable. However I have been following them for a while and they seem promising. Anyone else invested in MGI with a good long term outlook? Thanks :) submitted by /u/dromance [link] [comments]

  44. How would you define "trading with out emotion"? (18/07/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
I hear this phrase tossed around all the time, but what exactly does it mean? And how does it make you a better trader? Is it simply not FOMOing into hype stocks and selling when you are panicking over a price? Is there more to it? In a way it seems like any stock trade is emotional anyway you look at it, because you are picking a stock that you are feeling good about, as in it's chance to produce a profit for you. Can anyone give me a good summary of what "trading without emotion", actually is? submitted by /u/Wedonotbecomeone [link] [comments]

  45. Are getting good trade ideas important than knowing how to enter and exit? (10/07/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
there are tons of good screeners out there like finviz, tradingview but do you find the filtered results to be more useful than tools that deep-analyze them like "simply wall-street", koyfin etc? most of the time i trade by just looking at a few sources such as news and their fundamentals, that's all and so far i'm still making money. submitted by /u/wingchun777 [link] [comments]

  46. Want to hear from those who day trade large % of their accounts on a single stock that runs for the day and exit by closing bell (28/06/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
While this strategy has its own pros and cons I am wondering if people use it and if so, what has been their experience and how they feel about it compared to other strategies. What I like about it is that you get to stay liquid all the time and don't need to hold anything overnight + since you are going in heavy the returns must be good enough compared to what you would have made if you had just put in 5% of your money. And obviously the cons being if you accidentally catch the top or if anything goes south right around the entry price, you stop out with a loss. Since I haven't tried this strategy myself, I am sure I might be missing a lot of things which is why I am interested to know what has and what hasn't worked for those who have gone down this route. TIA. Also I am referring to large cap stocks, not penny stocks. E.g. if PTON has a 5% day, you day trade it and catch like 3-4% on the way up and get out end of day. Tl;dr - want to hear from people who go all in on a stock that's trending for a day trade. submitted by /u/lazy-learner [link] [comments]

  48. How hard will it be to swing trade Coinbase’s DPO? (14/04/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
Theoretically FOMO will hit and a lot of people will pile in once the stock goes live and of course there will be a rather significant dump, so this seems like a good short-term swing trade opportunity But realistically how hard will it be to successfully make profit on this? Will shares simply dump on opening? Or will there be a run up before seeing a huge dump? What do we think? submitted by /u/TastyTaco217 [link] [comments]
