  2. Goodmorning Traders ... I spy a short squeeze... my 3/26/21 Premarket outlook Technical Analysis on the SPY (26/03/2021 - Reddit Stock Market)
Good morning Traders, I spy a short squeeze... I will go thru the spy chart in the video below but looking at things this morning here is how to interpret things...Premarket outlook for trading the Spy for consistent profits 3 26 21 ???? I Spy a short squeeze...yep here we go with the pain trade. The line in the sand has been drawn by the bears, if the bulls can break thru it there could be a nice pop up. If not, we’re going down. I Have been looking for a true Trend day structure and it hasn’t quite happened. The line in the sand is 391 if we break thru that area it opens up a path to 393-395. Keep in mind the market makers expected move to the up side is 396.8 and 382 to the down side, there is a high probability we test one of those areas. However, beware of a wall of rejection being built at the 391 area, enough rejection could send us reeling down to 389 and below. Where internals open will be important, we open up at extreme highs and trail off lower we tread water for a bit before falling. Internals open in the middle or at lows it may give the market enough strength to break thru the line in the sand. Let's look at the possible outcomes for the day: 1) We retest the 391-area resistance fail then consolidate between 391 and 389 area before breaking out. 2) trend day up structure, we maintain an opening gap up from yesterday’s close (389.65). In the first 30 min we get a try at filling the gap but hold above 389.65 then we go up breaking thru 391 area with a target of 393-396 area. 3) we test and break below 389 area. Look for retest of 391 to short. 1) We retest the 391-area resistance fail then consolidate between 391 and 389 area before breaking out. 39% probability 2) trend day up or rounded reversal structure, we maintain an opening gap up from yesterday’s close (389.65). In the first 30 min we get a try at filling the gap but hold above 389.65 then we go up breaking thru 391 area with a target of 393-396 area. 41% probability 3) we test and break below 389 area. Look for retest of 391area to short. 20% probability submitted by /u/jmj_daytrader [link] [comments]

  3. SPY - It's OPEX Week (17/08/2021 - Reddit Stock Market)
We hit yet another ATH of 447.11 on SPY and 4479 on S&P 500. Could we finally see a pullback and some weakness? History has shown that S&P likes to start corrections during an OPEX week but this market seems like it just wont go down. Today's action was brutal for bears especially into close. Almost felt like capitulation. Everyone also seems to be all "bulled up" again calling for 4500. I went short SPY puts at the close expecting a low this week of 437 and still close above 440. When I look at short term Gamma Exposure, 444 is my line in the sand. below that level brings weakness and above it remains bullish. https://preview.redd.it/huarfqi33uh71.png?width=1768&format=png&auto=webp&s=03bd290d7683aa89d793b1487271aa43bec28117 https://preview.redd.it/u7orunc23uh71.png?width=1908&format=png&auto=webp&s=bbf26b34194eb41430fe3768f9a536f0bd80d83f submitted by /u/ES_F_King [link] [comments]

  4. $TTCF Tattooed Chef - Why I am Bullish (07/06/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
I am a bullish long term investor in Tattooed Chef. They are a growing vegan food company that is already profitable. Their products are sold in Whole Foods, and just recently got into Target. The company has solid financial position. Short interest is high, meaning a short squeeze could drive this stock price significantly higher. If Wall Street bets gets a hold of this one… lookout. Solid company, growing sales abs market share. Low debt. I’m bullish and adding shares of $TTCF. What are your thoughts? submitted by /u/HigherLows83 [link] [comments]

  6. $ZKIN 15m Outlook. Time for $9 per share? (17/03/2021 - Reddit Stock Market)
Since the last outlook the price of ZKIN has rise over 12% in value as it's currently being traded under $8.30 per share. Yesterday attempt to move higher failed as it was capped at $7.50 three times in a row, resulting in a triple top. Fortunately this triple top was canceled as the price found support at the pivot support at $6.75, which has resulted in a double bottom formation. Dip to this level attracted a lot of buying pressure and so far has resulted in almost 30% price increase in under few hours. (from $6.75 to $8.74) The break of $7.30 led to a stronger buying momentum. To see similar volume soon, the price of ZKIN would need to break above $9.00 per share, which is not impossible just not likely as much to happen in this run. A more realistic would be a test of this bespoken resistance at $9.00 and then retest of $8.40. As the price stands now, is currently in area from $7.80 to $8.40. Indicators. RSI is strongly bullish as its highly above 60 resulting in bullish momentum still being present and has a lot of room for correction before losing this momentum. MACD is in a strong buying wave and the bullish momentum keeps increasing, however it can be capped soon as statistics suggests. The short term trend has turned into an strong uptrend as 20 EMA broke above the 50 one. submitted by /u/BreianaOlson [link] [comments]

  7. How do swing traders determine the kind of market they're in as is relevant to their trading style? (16/09/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
I'm talking swing traders that will buy and hold for ~1 week or less. I'm new to swing trading and fairly new to stock trading in general. My core question here is this: for folks that only look for short term inter-day gains, how do you determine if the market is bull or sideways for that short period of time? I'm not interested in long term analysis. Do you use something like a 20 day MA and if the S&P is closing below it(even on a dip) then it's safe to say it's not bullish at the moment or if it closes above it several days in a row we're moving into bull territory? Sorry if that's gibberish, just trying to improve myself and my analysis and make smarter trades. Appreciate any insight. submitted by /u/Dirtiestlarry [link] [comments]

  8. Tax Loss Harvesting question (11/06/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
Looking for some advice on loss harvesting for tax reduction. I have an abnormal amount of short term gain this year (GME) , so am looking at a 40% tax rate I would like to knock it down. I also currently have about an unrealized 30k loss in AAPL along with ARKs etc. that I had put those gains into. I am still bullish on appl and plan to hold long term. Does it make sense to sell the AAPL and purchase an AAPL heavy index fund? Or purchase Long dated Calls? LEAPS ATM are about $15 right now, so if AAPL does go up I don't think the tax break would make up for the extra cost of the option if I exercise for shares. submitted by /u/BooyaHBooya [link] [comments]

  10. ZKIN 15m Outlook (30/03/2021 - Reddit Stock Market)
The price of ZKIN has lost few percents of it's value since the last outlook, as it's currently being traded slightly below $10 per share. Yesterday's bullish divergence failed to find support at $10, and as a result of RSI falling below 40, a bearish momentum arrived. This bearish momentum was quickly capped as this dip atrracted buyers and the selloff was capped at $9.35 per share. Unfortunately the gains weren't able to test resistance at $11 as they got capped at next pivot at $10.58, from where the bullish momentum has stalled. As of right now, the price of ZKIN keeps falling, possibly looking for another sharper dip to the downside, that is most likely getting bought and a retest of $10.58 would follow. Yet, the local low at $9.58 could have been the bottom, but there is no technical aspect to back it. RSI is the one what concerns us about the price seeing extended losses as it's below 40, meaning bearish momentum is still present. A break back above $10 will get rid of the bearish momentum. MACD is currently in a second selling wave while the selling pressure keeps increasing, as it haven't found peak yet. The overall short term trend has turned into a downtrend as the EMA's are signaling. As of writing this Outlook, the price of ZKIN has confirmed the bottom at $9.58 with a break above $10. This has also vanished the bearish momentum as RSI is back above 40. As of right now, a move to pivot high at $10.60 is expected. submitted by /u/BreianaOlson [link] [comments]

  11. New to serious investing, both long term and short term. Looking to expand my portfolio. (27/06/2021 - Reddit Stock Market)
I am not well with words, so I will try to make this as painless as possible. I currently have both long term holds on AMC and GME as of this year. I believe my first stock I made profit on and still hold some is GoPro. My most recent acquisition was BlackBerry at $12.00 and change. Was looking to buy before market close on Friday and that was my final smooth brain decision. My initial idea was to do a small flip trade if BB went up. However, while doing some sporadic DD, it seems like it is more of a long term hold.. I am not against holding it long term. That is my plan if it does go red next week. I guess the ultimate question is: 1) does it look promising for a quick trade to up my portfolio, 2) is it a long term hold for 1-5 years, and 3) would I potentially able to do both; keep some long term stock and sell my profits? submitted by /u/amandarawrr [link] [comments]

  17. GME CONspiracy Theory (19/02/2021 - Reddit Stock Market)
Since Wall Street Bets keeps taking down my post I’ll post here. What if what we just witnessed with this whole GME rocket ride, was the biggest P&D scheme in modern stock market history? What better way to generate hype than to claim we’re sticking it to big money? Little men band together to beat bully and win rhetoric that we saw rampant in January. Short squeeze is sound in theory, if you can generate enough Bullish momentum and convince people to hold. Do people who bought in at $200+ truly believe that people who bought in at $20 weren’t taking profits intermittently on the “way to the moon” therefore negating the whole hold til you can squeeze every last dime out of the Hedge Funds philosophy? Fuck I mean that’s 10x, I’m no pro but if I’m 10x on something I’m selling it. The hype and hysteria generated in January around the stock and short squeeze was eerily reminiscent of many Crip Toe P&D hype trains. Like I said this is just a thought I had in passing and am curious as to what others think? Heart goes out to the people who invested life savings, took out loans etc to get a piece of the pie and are now looking at 80% losses. submitted by /u/Eflow_Crypto [link] [comments]

I am working on a more in depth DD with my wrinkle brained brother (we predicted the March pop up in a certain gaming stock by analyzing OTM calls and puts Our prediction post ) but I am jacked to the tits at the possibility here. Smart Sand Inc is a company that sells needed sand to oil drilling/fracking companies for operation of wells. They survived covid and although revenues have been down a bit it's mostly from a loss of payment from Wells Inc. See below BULISH AF because: Company paid off debts and reduced operating costs DURING COVID see quarterly report here: Latest Qtrly Report Expanded their footprint by adding rail lines and acquiring Eagle Materials DURING covid: Eagle Aquisition Price of oil is going up which should lead to higher demand SUPER low P/E ratio indicating massively undervalued Just WON a lawsuit against Wells Inc. for $54 million dollars that is supposed to be finalized by the "end of June" (MAJOR catalyst IMO): Won MAJOR court case!!! 23. ZKIN 15m (05/05/2021 - Reddit Stock Market)
Since the last outlook the price hasn't changed much as it has changed less than a one percent, unfortunately negatively changed. The last price action pattern flag has failed to break to the upside as the gains were capped at pivot at $5.94. It looked very promising yesterday for the short term trend to change, however the price broke back below 50 EMA, prolonging the overall short term downtrend. Dips still continue to attract buyers as the dip bottomed out at $5.70 and found some decent buying power as gains quickly retested key resistance at $6. Somewhat decent volume was seen today at market open, both buying and selling. Overall current price action is still managing to hold above both EMA's, above current support at $5.80. It's important for the price to stay above this level in order to change the short trend. We now look for another test of $6. Indicators. EMA's as we've said are still suggesting a downtrend to be present. But as long as the price stays confidently above $5.80, we can be expecting finally a change of the trend. Because trend is way more likely to continue than to change, that's why we are seeing another bit longer downtrend. MACD just gave a buy signal with a second oscillator signal as a buying confirmation. Demand indicator is very close to show bullish momentum being present, a break above 60 will do the trick, however it has to find support at afterwards in order to continue in this buying pressure. submitted by /u/imphare [link] [comments]

  25. PSA: Everything will be good in the long term. Keep running the marathon! (25/02/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
The market has been rough the last few days, especially towards tech. Plenty of people’s portfolio’s are getting hit hard since their portfolios consist of tech, more or less. I just wanted to encourage people and say that there’s no need to be worried. You’ve done (at least you should have) your DD on your investments and you know why they are good. You know that they are good and will perform well in the long term. Short term volatility doesn’t matter in the long term. I’ve heard many successful CEOs like Bezos talk about how he doesn’t care about the volatility in the short term. And in my opinion, this is a very important thing to remember during times when there is a lot of short term volatility. I think selling is necessary only if something really negative is happening within the company or the sector. If it’s just healthy market behaviour, you shouldn’t be worried. This quote by Benjamin Graham, the author of the Intelligent Investor is really good and should be remembered always. ”In the short term, the market is voting machnie, but in the long term the market is a weighing machine.” The people that hold strong companies will be rewarded sooner or later. But it’s on your shoulders to stay calm and head towards the future without hesitation. If you are gaining wealth slowly with your own solid stocks, you’ll have your happy days. It might not be tomorrow or maybe not even in 8 years, but trust me, if you’ve done research, it’ll come. Good feelings to everybody. Have a good one! submitted by /u/juaggo_ [link] [comments]

  28. ZKIN 4h Outlook (15/03/2021 - Reddit Stock Market)
When we zoom out again on the 4 hour time frame,we don't think much comment is needed as the forecast can immediately spotted. Let's take a look anyways. The price of ZKIN has broke from the uptrend, bullish channel to the upside bringing strong bullish momentum. The buying and selling volume has seen a new high after almost 20 market days! As the price broke above the resistance area at $6.80 - $7 per share, the road to the next resistance at $8.30 to $8.60 is opened and ZKIN may see extended gains to this area very soon. How about indicators, are they pointing towards extended gains too? When we look at MACD, it is in buying wave while the bullish momentum is still increasing. RSI is above 60, which tells us that the bullish momentum is present. No bearish divergence can spotted. The overall 4h trend is changing into an uptrend as 20EMA is about to cross above 50 EMA. As long as the price keeps finding support at $6.80 - $7.00 area with dips lower, the overall trend will remain in a strong uptrend. We see no technical change for a change of trend to the downtrend again, maybe just a retest of support area at $6.80 - $7.00 but that will uncover the smaller time frames. submitted by /u/BreianaOlson [link] [comments]

  29. EV Short and the opportunity for short term upswing with long run decline - NKLA (13/04/2021 - Reddit Stock Market)
Hi All, NKLA is a name most have heard of in the EV space. They had a deal with GM that fell through not too long ago, outed there founder, have been accused of misguiding shareholders by short sellers, and have notable misguidance in there conference calls of which numerous articles can be found. The story: NKLA has a high short interest (40 million shares outstanding since 03/31 according to MarketWatch). At the same time, the company has analysts buzzing due to the current EV craze. Starting in June of 2020 after the company hit it's peak price there have been notable volatile bounces of ~$12.00 from the lows, which have been alternating each month up to the most recent last two months where it has been solidly down. Keep in mind the average analyst price target is 26.71 (again by MarketWatch) The strategy: At current prices NKLA has potential to double by volatile swing, and if a bounce were to sustain long enough to squeeze short sellers there could be very serious upside potential. NKLA presents a cheap, short term opportunity to capitalize on recent market volatility, while minimizing total capital risk. The downside: In the long term, holding NKLA may be the same as going to the beach and holding sand. Disclosures: 5 25.00C 07/16/2021 and will be buying puts during the next big upward move unless the news changes. submitted by /u/JanMichaelVincent11 [link] [comments]

  32. Is there any justification for NIO's current value? (29/06/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
I hold 10 shares with an average price of 33$, was also part of the early run up getting in at 17$ before it skyrocketed last year. However, I'm conflicted on whether to keep this as a long-term hold or sell now due to it's enormous valuation. I understand that a lot of the market cap is based on it's potential, but is there any good reason to believe it should be valued higher than current dominant car companies like Ford? Even if the best case scenario plays out for Nio and they are a force in the future EV market, do we have good reason to believe they will have a bigger piece of the pie than GM currently does? The only reason I can imagine the current justification would be valid is if we have reason to believe there will be a lot less competition in the future EV market and they will be among a few dominant players as opposed to a more fractured market we currently have. 35. $ZKIN. Another one to the moon? (22/04/2021 - Reddit Stock Market)
Since the last 15m outlook the price of ZKIN grew by almost 5% as it's currently valued above strong resistance at $5.40. What has happened since the last outlook? As we've expected, the price first of all seen a dip that has attracted buying pressure. This is now pretty common in ZKIN price action. The buying pressure from the dip has created a bullish pattern called a bull flag which has managed to broke above $5.40. Break above $5.40 led quickly to extended gains which retested the key resistance at $5.80 twice before giving up. As the gains were capped at $5.80, the price failed to break above the key resistance which has led to a deeper correction with low at $5.21. What's important is that this dip was bought into and the price is back above $5.40, which is important for the price to hold above in order to remain in short term uptrend. As the dip was bought, we are looking for another test of $5.80, a break of this level could lead to some serious gains. Indicators. As we've said, the price of ZKIN is currently in overall short term uptrend. RSI is neutral level meaning no momentum is present, but in overall uptrend. MACD is pointing towards a corrective wave which losses are starting to falter. Oh, and one more thing. From the first look at the chart, we've immediately spotted one important aspect about the chart that we will interpret on a higher time frame so stay tuned. submitted by /u/BreianaOlson [link] [comments]

$ATI - Already a slight form of confirmation, we now need to hunt for a higher high. Great set up, and super strong long term. $BLDR - Called on my website Thursday - now showing life again. Such a beautiful look and riding the 200EMA like a dream. $CCO - Will it hold HERE are the 200EMA, or find the trend line? Either way, for a penny stock - this is an absolute gem to watch. $CLF - We need 2 more days or red IMO. Let it come to us, we are patient people. Let it die further, right into our hands. $GDXJ - SHORT. ETF I wanna short, I like the looks of it technically - it if continues lower this could be an easy play for sure. $ICE - We need in under $113, but once at value this is a great beginner stock, not TOO volatile - and could be very low risk. $SBUX - Great long term hold that is at value. I see no reason to think Starbucks isn't going to just grow larger and stronger. $TWI - RIGHT in value and showing some great life - this has some great potential. Love where it is headed. submitted by /u/No_Seesaw1134 [link] [comments]

  37. Should I buy $3000 in shares, or $3000 on atm far dated calls? (12/04/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
I'm pretty long-term bullish on a stock that's trading at about $300 per share. I don't know where it'll move. It has strong earnings to its name, but fell short of EPS targets over the past 2 Quarters. The call would be dated for 2 years from now, and they've increased 30% YOY. Would it be a good idea to buy a close to the money/itm call on the stock, and essentially hold 100 shares up until a certain date, then roll forward if still bullish, or should I buy shares? The stock carries a 2% dividend, but I think I think I would get more benefit from a far dated call, but (obviously) less stability. Thoughts? submitted by /u/Traditional_Fee_8828 [link] [comments]

  39. Buying on stock hype is not the way (10/02/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
I'm an extremely novice trader, but something I've been thinking about that others might find valuable. Let's say you are someone like me who scrolls through hoping to find that amazing DD that is going to be the next big thing and rocket you right to the moon... You think you're staying on top of things by reading the posts end-to-end and finding opportunities that really make sense. You get really excited about opportunities with awesome DD but for one glaring issue....timing. The unfortunate reality is that this DD you found is only likely to get up-voted and become visible to you, after the stock has ALREADY popped. When the stock pops people get excited and they share it out...but it's always coming AFTER the pop. So, if your objective is to make a quick profit, you're setting yourself up for failure. Sure, you might get lucky, and you might still make a profit long-term, but your timing in the short-term will always be sub-optimal. Now...I'm not knocking good DD as a way to find opportunities, but you should update your thinking and maybe taking the following steps instead of buying willy-nilly: After you see some sexy DD, check if the stock is already spiking If the stock is already spiking...then WATCH it...don't BUY it Wait for a short-term dip and buy then if you are still bullish Plan to hold for medium - long term...don't hope for a big short-term gain submitted by /u/sewer_child123 [link] [comments]

  46. $SPOT with interesting setup (23/04/2021 - Reddit Stock Market)
Checking out Spotify today and it has some interesting looking action in options market and price chart has some profitable setups. First, call action is really heavy today and at the ask with a lot of energy so buyers are paying up for calls in size. https://preview.redd.it/ug6nf8axhyu61.png?width=1906&format=png&auto=webp&s=0e411d36ae7e228e911452d7495040a2d1d0f802 Second, the overall landscape of the options market by contract is really bullish with calls overwhelming puts on most strikes. https://preview.redd.it/u9utd671iyu61.png?width=1906&format=png&auto=webp&s=f3bc354729e2b42cb6cc6e55eb1b93a1fce21dc0 Gamma Exposure is back to neutral now (after being bearish) so if it flips bullish it will support BTD action in price if it gets started. https://preview.redd.it/nk51o1zaiyu61.png?width=1906&format=png&auto=webp&s=c0b2d4afe606262584884f4fbf4557a1260dbb4f Looking at the price chart - it held support at the critical bull/bear pivot and is now challenging the VWAP (blue line). IF it clears that then resistance is only at the pink VPOC node (volume point of control) and then the red FVG (unfilled auction gap) at $349. Momentum is picking up stronger and is bullish if today's price action finishes this way. https://preview.redd.it/dbpd08qbiyu61.png?width=1906&format=png&auto=webp&s=6cd7412c47c208276560a1125c03751c845cee74 So two ways to play it as I can tell: 1) If price breaks through the VWAP then it could easily get bullish up to $349. 2) If price fails at the VWAP or at the pink VPOC and doesn't get back to $349, then a good short may formulate. Good setups forming either way with the action in $SPOT. Definitely some tradable price action. submitted by /u/voliswell [link] [comments]

  47. BJ's wholesale a good medium to long term play, and even maybe a short term call play. (04/03/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
BJ's wholesale, a costco competitor is setting up for a bullish gap up. They have superior metrics right now for wholesale companies and have been slowing taking over COST market cap. Might be worth looking into for a variety of investment styles. Cheers submitted by /u/KitKatBarMan [link] [comments]
