22/02/2021 - 20:56

Don't sell off any of your stocks and like everyone is saying if you can afford to, buy the dips! The next green day (for you new guys like me supposedly that means on days we actually get to see profits or so the stories claim) you'll be glad you loaded up on more stocks. If you're scared and sell you'll be sorry you did and you'll but high again and the next red day you see you'll sell low again at will stay in a cycle losing money. Remember! "The stock market is a device for transferring money from the impatient to the patient"? -Buffet "Time in the market beats timing the market" "Scared money doesn't make money" "Buy low sell high" "You haven't lost anything if you don't sell" "HODL" Find a new hobby and stop looking at your portfolio's unless you need to sell to buy something else or because your need money. If you're not gonna buy or sell why even look at it? Go for a run, walk, build a model car, binge watch a new show, get a side hustle so you have more money to buy more stocks. Wish you all the best. submitted by /u/ragstorichespodcast [link] [comments]

  2. Why Intel is bound to come back strong within this month (25/04/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
Intel is an incredibly profitable company overall with a P/E of 12. 12 is ABSURDLY low considering companies of the same market, AMD(40 P/E) and NVDA(88 P/E). Obviously, it is not a growth company, unlike the ones I stated so we can take it to be a standard tech stock, akin to microsoft, apple, and so on. But even then, the P/E we see in that kind of stock is STILL around 30 aka much higher than intel. Alright, let's talk statistics, the RSI for intel is currently hovering around 30(the oversold range), 20s always trigger bounce backs due to mass overselling. It fell on Friday despite crushing earnings, and this is due to the rest of the market falling. People got scared because cloud stocks fell and INTC fell with them because of that. Take what I say with a grain of salt and do your own DD but these are my 2 cents, peace. submitted by /u/Ihaveaparrot [link] [comments]

  4. $AAL has a bounce back. Will $HA & $UAL follow it? (14/07/2021 - Reddit Stock Market)
Today $AAL has a gap and bounce back. $AAL has cross sma100 few days ago, it's a good sign it has a bounce back today. I will keep watching it and hope this bounce back is solid. In the same time, I do have a strong believe about the whole airline industry, and will keep tracking on $HA and $UAL since I has a chance that it will follow the pattern of $AAL. I am still waiting for $AAL to cross sma100. If it can cross it on next few days, I will think is a strong buy signal. However, I will suggest to buy other airlines stocks instead of $AAL since $AAL may have overpriced. the blue line is sma 100 Here is the screener that I found $AAL and $HA, $UAL. The purple line is for price trendline and blue is for sma100 trendline. Just like, I mention about I am waiting for $AAL to bounce back and to cross sma100. In the same time, it will be good to see how $HA and $UAL will follow $AAL. https://preview.redd.it/iou768s747b71.png?width=1314&format=png&auto=webp&s=ae7caa347273f68615a6c488e4419e2850f82c85 I will definitely want to hear your thought abut $AAL and airline industry. 5. Premarket outlook for 3.1.21 Correction... Pause(Bounce) ... Here we go (01/03/2021 - Reddit Stock Market)
I put out a premarket outlook with the title " Correction ...Pause... here we go" The pause in the title signaled the pause and bounce i saw coming, And This morning We definitely have a dead cat bounce in front of us. This Cat might have claws becareful . we will be working our way higher but there are air pockets in volume so we could see these moments of free falls and then back to fighting higher. Check it out here https://youtu.be/2rgHPd0WVLk Please Like Upvote and or comment ................................................................................................................................ I saw three things that could be a perfect storm to give this dead cat bounce with some claws...................... 1)Consolidation I said that the 3rd outcome Friday morning would be consolidation between 380 and 384 on the spy (check the tread and time stamp) .......................................................................................................................................... 2) Short Covering. Because we were not able to break below 380 ppl are scared of the volatilty so most people don't want to hold thru the weekend. So to close a short you must buy it back. This buy back activity is usually the spark to any bounce, Then you have the FOMO buying that will join in this morning 3)New Fund Flows. You team all that with the fund manager having to put new money to work and now you have a dead cat bounce with claws Lets ride the bounce and i will do so with a few 3mar 21 387 calls bought at fridays lows ............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... submitted by /u/jmj_daytrader [link] [comments]

  6. BABA--Looking for a bounce? (28/03/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
Been watching the trading range on BABA, to me a bounce back to $250 looks reasonable over next couple weeks after bounce from $220. Last week was bad for Chinese tech companies, don't think they are going to delist because Wall Street is not going to give up their position to Hong Kong, London or Shanghai willingly. Just a lot of political BS. Likely bet with options, can get the 4-9 45 strike for $2.26 for 50% gain. submitted by /u/skipflat [link] [comments]

  8. Why you shouldn't panic about today's dip (17/02/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
Things are pretty red today, and a lot of new investors are freaking out right now, so I think it's worth explaining that this is totally normal. Stocks never rocket straight to the moon -- they bump up and down on the way. And, when you have a red day like today, there are ways to predict when it's going to bump back up. Here's a chart of QQQ, which is an index ETF based on the NASDAQ: https://i.redd.it/bcm7wpfce2i61.png The black lines you see are called "Donchian Channels". They're one of many ways to find what's called "resistance" on a stock -- you can use moving averages or bollinger bands or 100 other things, but it's all going to give you the same thing: a bunch of lines on a stock chart that the price will bounce between. You can see that the stock market goes up and up and up until it can't take it anymore -- then it goes down. But when it goes down -- unless something really bad happens -- it always goes down to either the middle line or the bottom line, then it bounces right back up again. There is no bad news today. The market is just bouncing like it normally does. The market is going to keep dropping until QQQ reaches about $325.48 a share. Then it's going to bounce right back up to where it was keep climbing into new highs. submitted by /u/takenorinvalid [link] [comments]

  10. Market Status: 6/17.2021 (18/06/2021 - Reddit Stock Market)
Market Status: Uptrend (5/5) The $SPY closed lower than the previous day on higher volume and did not gain a distribution day. The signals indicate that we are still in a current uptrend overall. The $QQQ also didn't sell-off day and showed some relatively strong buying action. The type of price action happening is not unexpected. Due to the $SPY trying to gain the new high ground, it is bound to reach some resistance. Even so, today, one more distribution day dropped off the map for both the $SPY and $QQQ. I will admit that it got a bit concerning that we were gaining distribution days as fast as we were losing them. Tomorrow, I will decide if the market is in the middle of a bounce or the beginning of a short-term correction if there is enough information given by the charts. https://preview.redd.it/ic52e6bqjw571.png?width=1080&format=png&auto=webp&s=cf9127fa21308be99bbaf874844a521d825f67a8 submitted by /u/Fly-Elevated [link] [comments]

  12. Financials the Long term play here? (10/03/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
Someone talk me out of my idea here or back it up. So given the events that occurred the last couple weeks with increasing Yields, increasing interest rates, and the market getting hit hard in response; I believe financials are the long term play here. When the market was getting slapped for the past 2 weeks, the financial sector was unscathed. On the rise actually. Since November the financial sector has been on the up and up; vaccines rolling out, recovering economy, makes sense. Well if all this money flew out of growth stocks because of the inc in yields and interest, and back into finance, why wouldn’t this continue to happen with the recovery of the economy. If the economy getting better means yields and interest rates are bound to increase, due to the reversal of implementations put in back and March 2020, why wouldn’t financials continue their run? Are growth stocks bound to descend from their highs like we saw the last 2 weeks because of this, and is the stimulus and Powell’s comments just barring of the inevitable tanking of Growth stocks? I think yes, I think recovering economy means increased yields, it means increased interest, it means increased inflation, which are all bad for growth stocks and futures. So this must be a temporary rebound for them, and financials will see the best year yet. Disagree or agree? submitted by /u/boothy_96 [link] [comments]

  13. Why do people panic during market sell-offs? (20/07/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
I see lots of very negative comments on daily threads across stocks/wsb. When the markets are red, the negative/sad people crawl from their caves and project even bigger drops and crashes. Markets and economies tend to bounce back sooner or later. If they don’t - money will probably be the least of your problems. So unless you are near retirement or need that money ASAP - why would you worry? It should eventually come back up. I understand feeling down when YOUR stock is down but the market is up (damn you, pltr). However, when the whole market is down and so is your portfolio - if anything, that presents a buying opportunity. submitted by /u/clint1reid [link] [comments]

  15. Why you shouldn't worry about the dip (10/02/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
The stock market just tanked -- but don't panic. This is just a great opportunity to understand technicals. This image shows how resistance works: https://i.redd.it/zk4d7lw1dog61.png I'm using something called "Donchian Channels" in this picture. There are other ways to chart this, but either way you're going to see the same thing -- there are lines you can draw on a stock chart, and stocks will bounce between them. When the market gets too high and people decide to cash out, it goes down -- but it only goes down to one of the lines of that chart. You can see that every time this happens (unless something truly serious happened) the market bounces back up as soon as it hits either the middle or bottom line. Count on the market continuing to drop until QQQ reaches about $322.69 per share. Then count on it bouncing right back up. submitted by /u/takenorinvalid [link] [comments]

  21. Chart of the Day: Will the Stock Markets Recover? (21/07/2021 - Reddit Stock Market)
G'day everyone! I usually post about Forex but I'm trying something different today as the stock markets have been in the headlines recently. So, we're going to take a look at it and see if it will recover or if the downside continues. Weekly timeframe There was a huge drop in the market for the past few days. We already talked about this because the stock market has been rallying for some time. The market recovered ever since it dropped when the pandemic started. However, there could be further downsides as uncertainty over the pandemic continues. But as of now, the markets continue to move higher. After its current retracement, we could see another bounce and recovery in the stock market. This is because in a long uptrend, we usually see a couple of weeks of pullback, then another rally when we reach a weekly support level. Ever since the price broke the recent structure highs, it rallied, went down, retested, then continued to bounce to the upside. We had a long move, a bit of a pullback, and a retracement. The price then went to previous structure areas, recovered, then bounced to the upside. Again, we had a nice pullback, a rally, then a continuation of the rebound from the lows. Now, we’re in the structure zone where the weekly found some resistance before breaking through. I'm looking to see if the pullback will be a catalyst for a bigger move up. The trend on the weekly timeframe is up and the price has recently retested the previous weekly highs where buyers stepped back in. If the price breaks below the trendline, then a long-term downward move could be set up. But until that happens, we should remain bullish. The price has been bouncing from the trendline support recently. Are we going to see another bounce in this area, or will it break the trend? Daily timeframe I think we're going to see some recovery in the market. Even if it's only short term, we could see prices go back down. The previous structure lows are on a short-term recovery before we see either a downside or a continuation back to the all-time highs. Four-hour timeframe We would want to see a change in trend in the four-hour timeframe, which we don't have right now. I was expecting a bounce, a higher low, then a move up to the structure point. We don’t have that yet, but the price is doing something interesting on a lower timeframe. If the price on the four-hour timeframe forms a higher low, we can look for short-term long opportunities back to the previous swing lows. We could see this recovery today because there is an hourly-changing trend. But I would still look for a higher low. If we can get a higher low established on a four-hour timeframe, we could look for a continuation trade. What do you guys think? Would love to hear your thoughts. Cheers! submitted by /u/Dean_Hyde [link] [comments]

  26. Correction pause ... Here We come (26/02/2021 - Reddit Stock Market)
Good morning Traders, interesting day ahead.I will go thru the spy chart in the video below but looking at things this morning here how to interpret things... https://youtu.be/_MqlM4aflyE First you need to understand That there are always 3 different outcomes and I use Probablities to plan for 2 of them. today that decision level is 380 on the spy. The 3 outcomes are: 1) close below we fall off a cliff. 2) bulls defend 380 level and bounce. 3) consolidate here for awhile between 380 and 384.3. Probabilty for me are as follow:.................................................................................................................... 1) Close below 380 fall off the cliff has 60% chance of happening 2)Bulls Defend 380 and Bounce has 40% chance of happening 3) Consolidate between 380 and 384.3 This is the most important because this will happen to some degree before we break to new lows or retest lower highs( old support levels) Now that you know this things to watch while #3 goes on.............................................................. 1) qqq vs xlf do they both shot lower the market falls... one bounces the other doesn't we slowly consolidate while slowly sinking.... they both bounce the entire market will bounce. 2) watch bonds(/zb), interest rates( tnx)up too fast bad for market and or the dollar ($dxy)up too fast bad for market.... I use to watch the bond for clues to the market bonds up equities down vice versa but every since the fed started buying bonds it has stayed in the dumps and i could see the edge in watching them anymore but things may be changing 3) Internals : looking at various large cap stocks we will have a gap up if we open at the highs near max the market is going down . open in the middle expect a hugh range shaded to the down side. submitted by /u/jmj_daytrader [link] [comments]

The monthly chart on AAPL is hideous. It’s been pretty much a nonstop decline. They’re just coming off an amazing quarter. Leadership hasn’t changed. New services, new hardware coming (AirTags, AR, car??) and the selling stays unrelenting. For a growth stock they pay a nice dividend too. I’ll admit today I bought a bunch of June 18 $125 calls. Good morning Traders, Are we seeing real sale side activity yet...NO not yet. I will go thru the spy chart in the video below but looking at things this morning here is how to interpret things... https://youtu.be/ELXNAFBNZKk So we had a little down move yesterday ... That was nothing. You can chock yesterdays Move up to Just Rotation. Here are the 3 different outcomes and Probablities to plan for. Do we take a breather from this small down move today, tomorrow or much later. The 3 outcomes are: 1) We try to fight back up at the open to somewhere between 381-385 consolidate and take another dive down toward 375 2) We bounce to between 381-385 , bulls kick in and we keep going higher toward 390. 3) consolidate here for awhile between 381 and 385. Probabilty for me are as follow:.................................................................................................................... We try to fight back up at the open to somewhere between 381-385 consolidate and take another dive in down toward 375 60% 2)We bounce to between 381-385 , bulls kick in and we keep going higher toward 390. 40% chance of happening 3) consolidate here for awhile between 381 and 385. Now that you know this things to watch while #3 goes on.............................................................. How much further can can xlf and qqq carry the market? The bonds are moving lower will their be follow thru... too high to fast they begin to hurt financials go back to selling off too fast they pull tech down Internals opening maxed out. if they open near the highs were going down. we open near the lows we jog in place and consolidate before bouncing up. submitted by /u/jmj_daytrader [link] [comments]

So there's a fork in the road fast approaching. It's how does this inflation trickle into the economy with everyone going back to work. There's 1 of 2 scenarios playing out right now; the real tale of the tapes for the world economy. People go back to work and inflation bleeds out of the stock market into household items/food/gas etc etc This result is super "inflation"; it's already happening in the stock market btw with these P/E ratios. Everyone piles into BTC sky rocketing it and bonds tanking and gold continuing its crash as it has death crossed both BTC and bonds. (Gold will crash I'm comparison to BTCs soar, hard line boomers will buy gold for a slight bounce back. People go back to work and they instead buy more stocks due to fomo. This results in deflation. BTC tanking or trading sideways to deflating, gold tanking even faster and bonds sky rocketing . Right now BTC and bonds are rising because people are thinking like me and realizing gold is a crappy return, btc has a hype train and we know we are right. Its either hold btc or bonds, and we're waiting to see which one we dump based on consumers going back to work. submitted by /u/checkmydoor [link] [comments]

  37. My Watchlist For 4/9/2021 (09/04/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
$AR - Very obvious up trend that took a huge pull back. Check why, there may be a reason for it, but this is a great value and support bounce. $AROC - Obvious higher lows recently with plenty of room to run up. Trend and support bounce, this is a great play right here. $BNED - Another steep up trend but plenty of room to run up. It may come down more but eventually this may be a very lucrative investment. $CRK - Remember when I called this months ago lol. Well back to a great support are and if this holds could be an amazing play. $DKNG - I usually avoid hyper tickers but this is a glorious set up long term. Trend, support, EMA, loving it very much. $PFSI - A massive and beautiful ascending triangle. This is a great area, we may see $57, but hopefully eventually we can see $67. $RVMD - A very similar setup to $PFSI, wit ha glorious up trend and triangle forming. This could also be a huge hit if it does what we want. $SWN - amazing up trend support bounce, this has huge potential and is a very very fast mover -- thing can be pretty crazy. submitted by /u/No_Seesaw1134 [link] [comments]

  38. What exactly do you buy in this market? (15/07/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
So I want to buy stocks, and I am finding it hard to make a decisions here. The large cap stocks are at ATHs, granted I don't want to time the market but would like to buy on a dip. However, it doesn't seem to be dipping. On the other hand, with inflation scares, small to mid cap stocks are just stagnant and seem to want to touch pennies regardless of the company's profit or future outlook. Like many of the stocks I had on my watchlist took over a month to bounce back from May lows, but within a week are closer to where they were in May. Just seems like buying a falling knife. Then u have OTC, which is a graveyard. Finally, growth stocks just can't seem to find a bottom. submitted by /u/heynebulon [link] [comments]

  39. $LOTZ Carlotz, Any Downside/Upside at $4? (12/08/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
(Posted to another sub but got no responses at all, so posting this here now, trying to create a discussion is all. Hate the stock, don't hate me.) As an alternative to the question in the title, does LOTZ have any upside? I've been keeping an eye on LOTZ ever since it was $7, and now it's almost 50% lower than it was then. I want to preface this by saying I have no knowledge/insight on the car rental market, and I wouldn't be able to give proper insight. I'm wondering if anyone here has any insight to offer, as I never see discussions around this stock and rarely about used cars. About the stock: now sitting at an all time low of $4.15 ($470M market cap) today after earnings, is there any downside left? Also, is there any upside? A similar stock, SFT (shift technologies) is valued at a $770 M market cap, about 1.75x what LOTZ is worth. Unless this company is going under anytime soon, I don't see virtually any room left to slide further down but what do I know? Absolutely nothing. So I am just bringing up what I think might be a stock at it's bottom with a potential bounce back especially if today's 12% drop is a bit of an over reaction by the market. Can anyone here make a bull case for the stock in the near future? Bear case? Open to all discussion as I know little about this market, I'm just looking at it with the mindset of it may have bottomed out and might go back up to $4.50-$4.80 in the next few weeks or month. submitted by /u/Microtonal_Valley [link] [comments]

  40. XPENG set to run? (23/02/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
XPENG has seen a high of $74.49 after a steep run up on 24 November. Since then it’s now back down to $38 - a 50% drop. The company has had no bad news. The stock has a price target of $54. XPENG stock has been hammered down lately due to the lock up period which expires tomorrow. Earnings is on 8 March. $38 seems like an excellent buying opportunity to me. I’ll be adding shares tomorrow near market close. Looks like an easy 10-20% gain in a matter of days/weeks. LI also looks like a great buy. Quarterly revenue has been seeing consistent growth and earnings is finally reaching break even. Li has also invested a lot of their assets back into the company and their total assets has seen a healthy growth within the last year. These 2 seemed bound for a pullback after their highs in November but now it seems they are oversold. Are these on anyone else’s watch list ? Anything I should be weary of? submitted by /u/theepicone111 [link] [comments]

  44. Credit Suisse- on sale? (22/04/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
Hi all, Credit Suisse shares got fisted as a result of the Archegos debacle. Imo they could bounce back after let's say 2 years (as a Swiss guy, I of course believe in CS!). Do you see them getting it together and be back on track in the future? Will you use the recent dip? submitted by /u/Uvuvwevwevweeeee [link] [comments]

  46. Why the selloff on Thursday and immediate bounce back on Friday? (11/07/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
With all indices red on Thursday , I searched for explanations on WSJ, Bloomberg, Barrons, etc and the general consensus was that the rise of the delta variant, FOMC meeting notes indicating possible tapering sooner rather than later and overvaluation were likely triggers for the selloff. But none of this is new. We've heard for weeks that the delta variant is rising overseas and domestically, we've heard that some Fed Presidents prefer tapering sooner and we've heard for months on end about ridiculous CAPE and P/E ratios so why this sudden dump on Thursday? Was it manipulation? Did the market makers (all/some) suddenly decide to sell then retail investors followed? Then the market makers decided to buy back in after the sale on Friday? submitted by /u/ForeignBazaar [link] [comments]

  49. What is bag holding? Is it bad to hold almost worthless stock long-term? (31/08/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
It sucks that your investment didn’t do well, but is there any harm to holding a stock that’s near-worthless? There’s been some that bounce back, and if it’s nearly worthless, you won’t be getting much money back anyway, so just hold until the company actually goes under or maybe it bounces back a bit. I honestly don’t understand what bag holding is. submitted by /u/gngr_ale [link] [comments]
