  1. Vale (VALE) (04/03/2021 - Reddit Stock Market)
Alright guys I’m new here so if I mess any rules or format up plz go easy on me. I just started investing and went to Tesla first ofc. After doing more research I came across a Brazilian Mining company Vale. In summer of 2020, Elon Musk announced that he was worried about a potential Nickel shortage in the market, as Nickel is important for the production of electronic batteries, engines, etc. He stated that if any company could provide Tesla with a significant amount of Nickel while remaining environmentally friendly, he basically guaranteed them a contract. Vale is the largest Nickel producer in the world, and considering that is runner up is a Russian mining company that recently turned an entire river system red due to pollution, I think they don’t qualify for the environmentally friendly part. There were talks between Vale and Tesla in Oct, but since haven’t been any news about a deal... is it still safe to assume there might be a contract eventually? Or should I take it as the trail running cold? Also anymore suggestions or info would be very helpful. Thank you! submitted by /u/Wi33b6r143 [link] [comments]

  5. Nickel price collapse - Why? (04/03/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
The Nickel price is collapsing since 2 days, apparently because Nornickel had water inflow in one of their mines: https://www.bnnbloomberg.ca/nornickel-to-stabilize-water-inflows-at-arctic-mine-by-next-week-1.1571516 Why does the nickel price go down and not go up if there is a supply problem? Excerpt from the news summary: Nickel prices (LN1:COM) plunged as much as 7.7% on the London Metal Exchange, the most in more than four years, after Russia's Norilsk Nickel ( OTCPK:NILSY -2.4%) - the world's biggest producer of the refined metal - reported progress in restoring a suspended mine. Nornickel partially halted production last week at its Oktyabrsky mine and the interconnected Taimyrsky operation in the Arctic due to water inflows. The company plans to stabilize water inflows next week, when production losses from the incident will be quantified, CEO and top shareholder Vladimir Potanin says. submitted by /u/Maker2402 [link] [comments]

  9. The obvious DD potential of Nuclear energy. (23/02/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
I don’t have any figures yet. I intend to do a large amount of research into this topic. This is a hunch that I have. This is a play indirectly related to the way the world is going in favor of clean renewable energy. It’s been proven that EV’s at this moment in time have no benefit whatsoever on the environment, because MOST of the electricity that runs them primarily is made by burning coal. Doing this has an even worse effect on the environment than burning gas! companies like Tesla are genuinely concerned with the environment. I Read a story on a Russian nickel mine that polluted an entire river(which is literally now the color neon red) and Tesla stepped in to aid protesters against the mining operation. Despite nickel being in great demand, they did this out of concern. So clearly Tesla cares about the earth, and not just the illusion that they are helping the earth. Which leads me to believe that sooner or later there is going to be a major nuclear energy boom. Nuclear energy is the only renewable, zero emission energy that could ever possibly replace burning coal. This play is obvious, yet nobody has acted on it. Which stocks related to nuclear energy do you like? Do you believe that Tesla will integrate nuclear energy into their own business? Please give me feedback on this one because I think this is an absolute gem of a find. submitted by /u/wakyat [link] [comments]

  10. Fisker (FSR) is still doomed. (23/03/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
Fisker (FSR) is still doomed. Months ago, even before becoming publicly traded via reverse merger, Fisker was hyped as the next Tesla. Henrik Fisker has aimed to build the company as the next Tesla. The Foxconn manufacturing deal is part of this goal, and so is the Magna manufacturing deal. However, it is an earlier negotiating failure that has proved that Fisker does not have the acumen to see the next Tesla even if it was right before him. In fact, not seeing the Next Tesla literally is exactly what unfolded. On the other hand, what value could Fisker itself have brought to the table? Perhaps it was this very negotiating failure that caused the Next Tesla to develop its own in-car operating systems. submitted by /u/Torlek1 [link] [comments]

  11. Netflix strikes deal for streaming rights to Sony films, including upcoming 'Spider-Man' movies (08/04/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
https://www.cnbc.com/2021/04/08/netflix-strikes-deal-for-streaming-rights-to-sony-films.html Netflix has struck a deal for the streaming rights to Sony films. The deal, which was announced Thursday, includes films such as "Morbius," "Uncharted" and "Bullet Train." Netflix will also be able to place films such as "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" and future Venom and other Spider-Man films on its platform. This deal could further strengthen Netflix streaming leader position. Netflix earning is coming and it is important to see what subscriber guidance company give due to the ongoing economy reopen. People start going out and consume less streaming, but on the other hand, Netflix is growing strong on the international market. It will be interesting to see if Netflix can beats subscriber # and defend the competition from Disney plus. submitted by /u/coolcomfort123 [link] [comments]

So we already know PLL has a deal with Tesla to supply them lithium. The mine in NC apparently has not applied for any of the permits. With all the money that place will generate once started, I cant imagine it not getting approved. A huge concern is, why weren’t the permits applied for yet? Also Tesla is not going to require their lithium until at least late 2022. Im thinking this will cause a tremendous stock drop. What are your opinions? I see this causing a large blow to their shares. B submitted by /u/bootypatrol0889 [link] [comments]

  38. I don’t think Dr. Michael Burry spent $0.5B against Tesla. (18/05/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
I have seen mentions of Dr. Michael Burry’s position agains Tesla, and I simply don’t believe the numbers. NOTE: Short positions need not be reported, so I’m imagining that the mentioned $530M against Tesla is the price tag of the puts (exclusive). We know that Burry has ~ 8,000 contracts, which implies a price of ~ $66,000 per contract. What? For perspective, one 6/17/2022 $1,200 P is trading for $66,075 at the time of writing this - the price per a given contract bounces around for strikes above $1,200, but the price is in an uptrend. I don’t think Michael Burry would be buying THOSE put options. NOTE: I could be missing something, like maybe they are valuing these options at current price and not buy-in price. Any help/feedback would be appreciated. submitted by /u/Intrepid-Wheel-8824 [link] [comments]
