  1. My 10 out of 12 predictions were correct, My System Works! (17/03/2021 - Reddit Stock Market)
Just closed FIVE with a nice 7%, and FDX with 1,8%, and Titan machinery with 4.5% return. All my last 3 predictions were correct. So far 10 out of 12 my publicly verifiable predictions were correct. A few weeks ago, I posted that I found a very good system while working on my Ph.D. thesis. The system based on stock movements around earnings announcements. A lot of people said that it is not possible that I am lying. Now I have a publicly verifiable record, I am not even hiding my identity. And it is only the beginning. I have not done any calls today, because my system was quiet, but tomorrow there are going to be new predictions and hopefully new wins. Nowadays I am doing fewer predictions because it is not earnings season, but in late April-May there are going to be tons of them To the moon!! submitted by /u/Dna7272 [link] [comments]

  2. I have made 12 out of 15 correct public predictions, 80% win rate (26/03/2021 - Reddit Stock Market)
Hi, have been posting my predictions here on Reddit. So far I made 15 predictions publicly verifiable predictions and 132 of them were correct. And on average each prediction made 1.88% return Those predictions were based on my system which picks stocks based on stock movements around earnings announcements. Backtesting showed that the system is correct about 80% of the time. Furthermore, it even can make a positive return in bear markets, like the dotcom crisis and the 2008 crisis. My system's new prediction for today is PVH corp. Buy it today between 15:55 pm and 16:00 pm and sell it tomorrow around the same time if the price goes up. If the price does not go up ten my system recommends selling it the next day after the announcement. Let's see how this works out. submitted by /u/Dna7272 [link] [comments]

  3. As promised my system has 80% win rate. So far 15 out of 18 correct predictions (15/04/2021 - Reddit Stock Market)
About a month ago I posted about my new system, which on average about 80% precise. Since then i have been posting some of my picks here on Reddit. So far I have made 18 publicly verifiable predictions, and 15 of them were correct, which is 83% precision. The system actually made more than 18 predictions for the given period, but I only posted 18 of them, because I was too busy with my PhD studies. Now I have more free time and I will try to publish more picks here on Reddit. The performance of the system does not depend on bull market. The system can be used for long and short positions. I mainly post long positions because it has higher precision than shorts (about 65%). The system is based on price movements around earnings announcements. For today my system recommended buying PLD today before close and it is expected to go up tomorrow. But of course, nothing is certain, there is still a 20% chance that it might go down. But i would not suggest investing using my system. First, i would suggest following my system's predictions, and after you get to know how my system behaves making your own informed decision about my system's picks. submitted by /u/Dna7272 [link] [comments]

  4. Anyone here focus on earnings calendars to determine what to buy? (14/04/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
Doesn’t anyone here look at the earnings calendar and target stocks that will report earnings tomorrow or later? Example, AA (Alcoa) is reporting tomorrow. Do any of you take the risk of buying something today for tomorrow’s earnings to ride that risk? I would think this approach is extremely volatile. Could be a big win or big loss. submitted by /u/wallywizard55 [link] [comments]

  5. My system Works! 85% precision (16/04/2021 - Reddit Stock Market)
My system's new prediction for today is CCK and SVN. My system suggests that those stocks will go up around their earnings announcements. So far, I have made here on Reddit publicly verifiable 19 predictions and 16 of them were correct, which is an 84% precision. Backtesting shows that the system is about 80% correct on average. I mainly post long positions, but the system also works with shorts. I don't post shorts because it has a little lower precision (65%) because it seems like people here mainly accept only high-precision systems. I will be posting new predictions here on Reddit in the foreseeable future, if you are interested you are welcome to follow. submitted by /u/Dna7272 [link] [comments]

My question, why is it going up again with earnings tomorrow? Its up over 2 bucks premarket to 18 today. Up 5 bucks in two days. AAPL's forward P/E ratio is 28.9, much higher compared to its 5 year average of 15.9. The stock is much pricier compared to how the market has valued it in the past few years. The latest bull run to $150 has a lot of high expectations riding behind it. It's going to need to do more than marginally beat earnings estimates to support its current value. How do you think the price will behave after earnings tomorrow? Are we going to see a repeat of the past few earnings? How much truth is there to this statement? When I hear this statement I often ask "What rumor? What news?" I think it might be especially important around earnings but I never know whether it will drop or bump on earnings as it seems recently everyone is expecting major earnings blowouts and still selling. (AAPL dip after earnings beat, for example) Right now I'm holding positions in CRSR and DIS and they are getting big bumps going into earnings. CRSR has gone up over 20% in the last week and earnings comes out tomorrow. Everyone is expecting it to beat expectations so when it does, will the stock dip from profit-takers no matter what? Am I better to sell today and buy a dip tomorrow? Same but for DIS. They are at ATH right now and half their revenue streams are shut down or severely limited. Who knows what earnings will say next week, perhaps this is a good exit and just wait for the after earnings dip? submitted by /u/dreamliner330 [link] [comments]

  18. My system works, it has 82% precision (31/03/2021 - Reddit Stock Market)
So far I have made 17 predictions and 14 of them were correct which is 82% precision. All my predictions were publicly accessible here on Reddit and you can easily verify them. Of course, I cannot make a judgment about my system solely based on this last performance. But I have actually checked my system back to dot com bubble and it does not suffer from bull market bias. The precision of the system goes down with bear markets (about 70%), but even in bear markets it can earn some money. In general, my system is based on price movements around earnings announcements. Today my system predicted that Greenbrier Companies might go up right before the announcement. But be careful with that stock, because it is a small-cap company and it is a little risky. submitted by /u/Dna7272 [link] [comments]

  29. Methods for predicting behavior of major Indexes? (10/04/2021 - Reddit Stock Market)
Hi, I was hoping to have a discussion about how someone would go about making the most accurate prediction of how an index might behave on a particular day. I've noticed that most of my individual stock picks tend to follow the broader index they are part of; Russell 2000 has a poor day, my small cap stocks also do poorly, for example. 30. $PLTR Volatility Forecast and Price Range - Wed, 24 Feb (23/02/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
Hey guys, for my Bachelor Thesis I am working with GARCH-Models, that is a tool for Time Series Analysis of a given Dataset to predict future Volatility. Beforehand, one problem with PLTR is that I don't have enough data because the stock is pretty new, so when I take the adjusted daily closing prices I only have 100 time steps, a better forecast would use around 1000-2000 data points. Nevertheless, we assume that the returns of our time series follow a normal distribution with zero mean and a finite variance. When finally fitting our given data set to a GARCH(1,1) model we get an Expected Volatility for tomorrow's closing price of 7.47%. That means our closing price tomorrow has a high likelihood to be in the range of 24.75 USD to 28.75 USD (about 68% chance), with higher probability of the price being centered around the middle and less probability the further we move away. That means if the price drops much below that range, there is a high chance of going back up, and when the price goes really high, there is a high chance of going back down again and land in those ranges given above for tomorrow's close. When also fitting an AR(1) or ARMA(1,1) model to the data set, we get a positive forecast for tomorrow, but this one might be inaccurate because the data set is so small and with the given data set it looks too linear and will most likely always give a positive forecast. So, there are certain IF's in my assumptions and lack of data, but nevertheless I just wanted to throw this in and write it down, maybe it helps someone. submitted by /u/Billy-Klein [link] [comments]

  31. XPENG set to run? (23/02/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
XPENG has seen a high of $74.49 after a steep run up on 24 November. Since then it’s now back down to $38 - a 50% drop. The company has had no bad news. The stock has a price target of $54. XPENG stock has been hammered down lately due to the lock up period which expires tomorrow. Earnings is on 8 March. $38 seems like an excellent buying opportunity to me. I’ll be adding shares tomorrow near market close. Looks like an easy 10-20% gain in a matter of days/weeks. LI also looks like a great buy. Quarterly revenue has been seeing consistent growth and earnings is finally reaching break even. Li has also invested a lot of their assets back into the company and their total assets has seen a healthy growth within the last year. These 2 seemed bound for a pullback after their highs in November but now it seems they are oversold. Are these on anyone else’s watch list ? 32. Cannabis industry (TLRY and APHA) (08/03/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
The market is going crazy with money shifting in multiple locations. I can’t say where things actually are going, because one can say bonds, one can say travel, one can say oil, but to be honest, no one knows except the ones who control the media. In the Cannabis industry, there is so much progress from legalization in the states, to Mexico, to international regulations relaxing. That being said, this “market correction” has no business affecting the cannabis market. The cannabis market is one in itself, and the trend for this industry should be completely Broken from nasdaq, s&p and Dow. So tomorrow, even though we see red for futures, I hope the trend doesn’t follow like it has been for the last couple weeks. Unfortunately, it’s probably not going to decouple like it should, but I’m hoping the media can start supporting that narrative. Long term, very bullish. In the next two weeks, I’m sure. I think Tilray and Aphria will have a bullish week this week. Thoughts for tomorrow and this week? submitted by /u/lilaznjocky [link] [comments]

Specifically, I wanted to invest in STY, I know they're quite a few places that you can invest in that follow S&P 500, anything better I should look into? Anything I should know? To the average person, this mostly seems like free money, any predictions about potential dips in the future that would be a better time to buy? I also saw some positive opinions about investing in gold as it's very stable. What do you think? Should I invest all into S&P500, all into gold, or half half? So of course I want to try buy this dip when it bottoms out. Currently I am holding cash for that occasion. I am wondering what is everyones current theories about this market dip. Will it crash? Will it start recovering tomorrow? will it continue dipping for a week or a month? Personally I am expecting most of this week to be red. Though I think we may see it start to recover by earliest friday otherwise in a week or two. I don't think this is the crash. I think the market is inflated and I think there very likely could be a crash later on in the year, But right now I think people are just reacting to the idea that there could likely be a crash in the future. Similar to when we see overhype around good news for a stock and it skyrockets and then corrects. I think this is overhyped fear. Anyway A lot of valuable companies have currently dropped to very appetizing lows. Their price estimate is 3.50 and currently they sit at .99c. submitted by /u/bciamb25 [link] [comments]

  45. So who's gonna invest in Coinbase tomorrow? (13/04/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
I am curious to know who's gonna invest in Coinbase when it DPO's tomorrow? Or at least in the near future. There is a a lot of buzz around this DPO's and you can argue it is the biggest DPO of this year(ROBOLOX was pretty big too). Coinbase is a direct public offering, which means shares trading on an exchange with no previously issued shares and everyone has access to the shares at the same time. This makes it more volatile than an IPO. Anyways, who's gonna buy Coinbase tomorrow? submitted by /u/gorays21 [link] [comments]

  46. Market predictions for 2022 (13/05/2021 - Reddit Stock Market)
Hey guys, as a future portfolio manager, I must have expectations for the capital markets before formulating the Asset Allocation, hence the following question. I am wondering what your predictions are for the following year, up until the end of 2022. Especially regarding: - The US stock market - Canadian stock market - US interest rates Provide your call and reasoning for each of the above. I am not looking for diverse opinions and different views regarding the stock market. I know that the Canadian market usually follows the US stock market, but being in unprecedented times, expectations might differ. Thank you for taking the time to fully expand your reasoning and motifs. submitted by /u/Mr-Milk8 [link] [comments]

  48. News sources that you trust (14/02/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
Hello all - With the multiplicity of news sources that provide stock news, I would like to follow a few (about ~3 since don't have time to follow more than that ) . The question is what are the absolute good ones and which are the bad ones to not follow ? e.g. Bloomberg, Yahoo finance, Zacks, SeekingAlpha, InvestorPlace and so on. I don't see this question addressed on the beginners Wiki so thought of bringing it up here . I'm a long time investor (doing few trades a year) but looking for active investing ( not day trading) here. submitted by /u/fitestnlearn [link] [comments]
