What are the best micro cap and small cap subreddits?

Reddit Stock Market

22/07/2021 - 01:46

I'm am early stage grown investor. Loss all my money or 7x gain is what I'm looking for ... I don't care about fancy option strategies or dumb yolo's. I like good companies with good business ideas that actually make society a better place rather than have money trade hands. I define micro cap and small cap as the following ... Micro cap < 250 M Small Cap < 500 - 800 M I don't discriminate against industries & I'm open to all plays that are a potiential +7x. My only consistent theme is the play must add real value to health, education, finance, tech, or real-estate and be innovative. Thanks in advance P.S. I've considered starting a micro cap, small cap, & VC style subreddit with the purpose of vetting deals, presenting deals, & democratizing venture capital style gains. If you're interested in a subreddit like this feel free to DM me with the peace sign ? so I know you serious. submitted by /u/pjonson2 [link] [comments]

A few weeks ago I noticed none of those tickers ($GOOG, $MSFT, $NFLX, $SMSN, $NET, $SPOT and $SONO) had dedicated subreddits to discuss investment-related news and analysis, post links, memes, etc. So I created a small network of subreddits in order to do just that. They are all very small at the moment, but I figure I can't be the only stock owner on Reddit with an interest in these companies. 5. Advice for finding undervalued small-cap stocks? (06/03/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
I just started doing DD using yahoo finance and the fidelity stock screener to find micro cap stocks. Im sure everyone has heard the old advice of small/micro caps return at a higher rate. So the basically what Ive been doing is filtering by microcap which is less than ~1.5bn. Then using metrics like P/E and PEG to find undervalued companies. The issue is according to yahoo finance literally every one of the 30 companies Ive looked at is overvalued. Is this just a bad algorithm from yahoo? Ive heard its not the best place to get data. Or are all of these truly overvalued? Theyre a bunch of obscure stocks so Im surprised theyd be getting this much attention from the market but everyone and their mother is into stocks right now and everyone wants small cap so I could understand if it is truly just hard to find things that others havent already. What do you guys think? Any advice? Thanks! submitted by /u/fanofnicethings [link] [comments]

I’ve read a lot of the posts in those subreddits (and others) about GameStop and Citadel and I’m not quite sure what to think. Is what’s being said over there actually valid or is it just a bunch of conspiracy theories? I’ve tried to post in the finance, economists, and askreddit subreddits, but my post keeps getting removed. I’m genuinely curious about whether or not the economy will come crashing down because of all the shenanigans or if it’s just these one or two hedge funds that get shwacked. Or none of the above.
