  39. Should I give up on VSP and just go with SCHD? (27/04/2021 - Reddit Stocks)
I don't know what flair to use, ETF or Advice request. Sorry if I got it wrong So basically VSP and SCHD are both very spread out ETFs, So they are very similar. I like them both because of that. SCHD is a USD ETF and VSP is a CAD ETF. I am a Canadian and I would love to buy VSP because its in my currency and its convenient. But doing research, SCHD pays more dividends. VSP pays around $0.20-0.23CAD (0.16-0.18USD) per quarter and SCHD pays around $0.42-0.48 per quarter. I know that USA hold 15% tax of the dividends no matter what but even so, thats around $0.37 per quarter per share. Should I give up on VSP? And just convert my funds to USD? The growth seems to be very similar SCHD 29 APR 40.02 USD Now is 74.82 86.95% increase in 5 years VSP 29 Apr 36.60 CAD Now is 70.13 91.61% increase in 5 years submitted by /u/Galion- [link] [comments]
